Pretty damn good! Very bouncy and expressive animation with bright colours that make the show just literally very fun to watch. Blonde girl is very pushy and the show leans into the com in romcom a lot, which I am more than okay with although it does make me wonder how I'd feel about a presumed eventual lean into harder rom elements. I'll certainly be watching to find out though.

SUBTITLE SITUATION BITCHING. I got told beforehand that remow are the company doing this and I've never heard of them and they are apparently bad. And I'm inclined to agree! The translation is definitely human which is good, but there's some odd romanisation with character names (Satuki mostly but Ouduki isn't great either even though it's technically correct) and a few instances where they literally just leave out part of a sentence. And what's left is still plenty functional, but this isn't a case of like "oh the nuances are too hard to translate into English but they didn't" like no it's very easy shit. I don't know the specific Japanese but there's a bit at the end of the pool scene where the girl says the Japanese equivalent of "I feel like I should say 'thank you'" and they just sub it "thank you" instead and I feel like that's a really easy one to get right and they genuinely do just have different and easy connotations like I'm not forever here to complain about localisation or anything of the sort but this specifically I think is just not very good. I will hope to see fansubs start but if I have to watch the official subs then so be it.
