I’ll be honest—I have some bitter feelings about being ‘stuck’ in Iowa. I had been intending to leave about 2.5 years ago, and on top of that I wasn’t even supposed to be in Iowa in the first place. It was a series of accidents, chance, and necessity that lead me here. And then of course, I fell in love with someone and decided to stay for them.

If any one of a million little things had gone differently, I would have gone back to New Mexico and then onward to somewhere new.

But on nights like tonight, I’m not mad at the universe that I fell in love in Iowa. Sometimes, if I really let go, I fall in love with the place itself.

on a different note I got my student funding properly sorted out, there was a bit of a problem since I technically applied for uni but aren’t attending my course but that’s still a complete funding application, but you can’t have two applications so I sorta had to try withdraw my application and shit, was hell. First payment is in 2 weeks or something.

Antibiotics I’m on make me more sensitive to sunlight. I had to go pick up my student ID card. It’s sunny as fuck. I forgot about the side effects of those antibiotics. Feeling good :)
