8.9.20 - Tuesday, Week 7/8 - 32/70
Prophetic Literature: So, I'm going to collapse week 7 and 8 of the semester into one set of posts because... I got really truly mentally fed up with everything.
The fact that I am taking and posting all these photos after the event, well, life just leads you to that sometimes. The point is, I will keep going forward while at the same time reflecting on the messiness that life can sometimes be.

21.8.20 - Friday, Week 4 - 20/70
Ecclesiology: I'm falling a bit behind on my Tumblr posts but not on the actual study, yay! Takeaway from this week's class is that the parables are about the kingdom, and the church is in service of the kingdom.
29.8.20 - Saturday, Week 5 - 25/70
Prophetic Literature: Because Thursday was a total-100%-freeeedom day of no study, I chose to make up for it today. I'm really enjoying this Prophetic Literature subject because it's all about theories of what is probable (as opposed to what is just possible or posited) in the creation/compiling of 2500-2000ish year-old texts! And because I happen to study it through a theological lens, I also can ask questions about what in the text is grounded in the events of the era in which it was written, and what speaks to the future. ❤️💛❤️💛🤓
9.9.20 - Wednesday, Week 7/8 - 33/70
Philosophy: I received some excellent feedback on my Thomas Aquinas essay. I'm still not convinced he should be so idolized and considered so saintly by the institutional church, but hey, what do I know? I'm just an undergrad millennial theologian.
31.8.20 - Monday, Week 6 - 26/70
Ecclesiology: This subject can be pretty taxing on the brain (and the readings even more so) but it also gives me a lot of 'a-ha!' moments.
Like today, my 'a-ha' was that "salvation" is - in one sense - living love. Meaning, living a life of love for your neighbour, and love for all creation, which is how Jesus loved us!
That's it! Salvation is for ANYONE living a life of LOVE. What a wonderful, inclusive invitation ^_^ I know there is more to salvation (theologically) than that, but what a great foundation ~
11.8.20 - Tuesday, Week 3 - 12/70
Philosophy: The Thomas Aquinas readings will stretch into week 4 because ... well, because. At least the lecturer has given us a week's extention on the assessment. I'll write about Aquinas' theories of form, matter and privation. I've got a far better grasp of those concepts than his essence/existence dichotomy. 😶
