#7498 Alvarado Street Motor Oil No. 8 (USA) Fresh outta Cali via the homeboy @dc_juggernaut, this is a big, bold 11% imperial stout with maple syrup and pecans, and she’s a beaut. It pours like, well, motor oil, with a tan head and a sweet, chocolatey nose, the body is creamy and velvety, I’m getting a big dose of maple up front alongside bitter cocoa and vanilla, the pecans deliver some earthy vibes, there’s some pancake syrup notes with subtle espresso, wrapping in a sticky, chocolate finish.
