Todays snippet is from Chapter 6: Settled or Unsettled, the first Val pov chapter in my wip 🌐7 Circles🌐
The last couple hours have been utter chaos, but Val had been expecting it. The way he'd grown up, you either developed a sixth sense for when you'd caught someone's attention or... well, you didn't grow up. So the moment he'd realized he'd caught Greed's attention of all people, he'd known that something was going to happen. It hadn't been more than a few minutes after she and her.... whoever it was.. passed by that a satyr not much bigger than him had dragged him off duty and into a service hall ‘round back. “Valian Ifrit, 85335-2212-16?” The satyr asked, too fussed over something on his tablet to bother looking up.
“Aye, that's me.” Val says, ignoring for the hundredth time that they put his species name where a last name would go if he ever had one. He thinks that’s his number, leastways.
“Milos, PA to Greed.” the other PA greets, glancing up, “Valian your case is being transferred by order of Duke Evaynaya Donahue-Selway, effective immediately. Come, we have little time to process you.”
This little guy has been through a lot and unfortunately for him I'm gonna be putting him through a lot more lmao.
