Yea don't get me wrong, I will still support Pakistani cinema and encourage everyone to watch 7dmi but I'm really disappointment. My love for Sheheryar will also push me to give this movie a chance. I'm tired of Mahira. And Mira Sethi may be smart but homegirl has yet to delivery any note worthy performance in any of her dramas. For someone with a literary background, I don't understand why she hasn't tackled script writing.
I mean that’s fine. It’s your time, money and energy that you’re investing in a movie. I’m done with people saying watch a movie to support Pakistani cinema, so as an audience we should give money to any movie that comes out, even if its a Chain Aye Na? No.
If not Mira’s performance, I think most of her dramas were well received by the audience. Her dramas are different than what’s usually on TV and that’s what I meant about her being smart and choosing projects carefully. It must mean there is something different about 7DMI (the movie hasn’t come out, it could be shit for all we know).
And just because someone has a literary background doesn’t mean they are interested in script writing (they’re different mediums in a way). Like, I love reading and writing but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna go ahead and start developing scripts.
