I can’t believe that we already have a 7-year-old. Time flies really fast! And even though we celebrated during quarantine this year, I’d like to make this celebration special for Faye. i’d like it to be something she’ll remember until she grows old.

Before all the chaos, we initially planned to have a small party with our family and friends. It’s not something big, but at least the kids will have fun. But as mentioned, because of the quarantine, we decided to change our plan and make use of what we have and what we can do.

Faye had two birthday photoshoots at home and a Zoom birthday party on her exact birthday. I’ll share below what we did, in case you need ideas on how to celebrate birthdays during quarantine.

Her first photoshoot is Fairy Tale Princess-themed. She wore this beautiful Le Pom-Pom Long Dress from Spinkie Wear. It’s one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever seen! I also repainted our old frame from gold to silver. The first time she used this frame was when she celebrated her 1st birthday, that’s why it is really sentimental. I also ordered balloons in colors pink, silver and white to make the set-up more festive.

We also put-up the Spinkie Dreamy Fort from in our garage and filled it with balloons for a more magical feeling fit for a princess. 

The 2nd photoshoot is Ballerina-themed. This one is so simple, which was only done in our bedroom. If you’re following our Instagram page, you know that our favorite spot for photos is in this Spinkie Dreamy Canopy. It’s our favorite spot because, well it’s pink and as the name suggests, it’s really dreamy.

Faye wore the Odette Ballerina Dress and I gave her two little space buns on her hair and she loved it!

Now let’s go to the D-day! Her exact birthday was on May 26 and her requested theme this year was Moana, so I happily obliged. I ordered a Moana Doll Cake, a simple Moana costume and I DIYed some paper flowers to make the place more colorful.

We planned. a Zoom video call party for her along with our friends from the North Moms and Bubs but that’s not all! We also prepared a special surprise for her. We contacted Rissey (she played the role of Moana in Hong Kong Disneyland), and she had a special greeting and song number specially for the birthday girl. And that’s it! Greeted by her family and friends, had the birthday cake she wished for, and surprised by one of her favorite princesses, Faye was very happy on her birthday. As parents, we were fulfilled too, that we made her happy even during these trying times.

I was actually a little sentimental because we only had an online or virtual celebration, but I’m also very thankful that our family is together and we are safe and healthy. That’s all that matters for now.

Happy birthday again my dearest princess! When you read this blog entry when you get a bit more older, know that we will do anything for you and we love you so so much :)

January is almost over but our celebration is not over yet 🤪😁..nah this is actually a super late post when we celebrated new year's with family and a 3-day birthday party for Kassandra.. we've been very busy after the holidays as we get back to "regular programming 😁" that this video edit has been pushed aside for far too long..so here it is - I'm posting this to document my not-so-little girl's 7th birthday 🎂 attended by closed friends and family.. wow, 7 years already that I become a mom.. 7 years of growing and still discovering new things with this little wonder.. watching her grow is a joy beyond words.. and seeing her blossom every day is a blessing beyond compare!
