Background story
Yes, I know. The Movie Hangout Stuff Pack doesn’t necessarily scream cinema. In my opinion this pack can be described best as a gorgeous boho style pack with two movie screens and a popcorn popper. But unfortunately, I love a good challenge, so I made a cinema anyways. This build is based on a real building, but after all the tweaks I made, it looks nothing like the initial image anymore.
Icek Cinema has three entrances for visitors. The two small entrances on the sides give immediate access to the main foyer. The main entrance is recessed and has a box office on each side of the door. The main foyer features the widest staircase I’ve ever used in my builds. On either side of the stairs is a door leading to the main auditorium. On the left side of the staircase is a small restaurant with adjoining kitchen and outdoor seating area. On the right side are some bathrooms and a lounge area with adjoining kitchen and outdoor seating area.
The main auditorium is a split level room, and offers seating to 106 Sims: going to the movies is a group activity; deal with it. If you manage to occupy every seat, please tag me on Twitter (@Catharina_Sims) so I can see your photo!
The first floor of the cinema offers a great view of the ground floor. Around the mezzanine are some secluded sitting areas. In front of the main stairs is an entrance to the second floor of the main auditorium. Besides a large auditorium, two smaller auditoriums are located on the first floor. Both of them have adjoining concession stands.
The stairs to the second floor lead to a large bar area. Mingle, have a drink or enjoy the view on the balcony... Everything is possible here. Overlooking the road are two more secluded, split level rooms. Not are only are these rooms perfect for interviews, they are also rather impressive as a backdrop for photos. On the opposite side of the cinema are two small offices, with adjoining photo studio.
In the center of the second floor is a covered patio. Around the patio are two stairs leading to the rooftop terrace. The rooftop terrace offers a beautiful view and is perfect for a relaxing chat.
