The 8th night of Chanukah was last night. May your light shine just as bright!
Happy 8th night! May your light continue to burn bright throughout the year!
The Hanukah candles are not the point of the holiday. They are a symbol meant to remind us of who we really are.
The People who shine, despite the darkness that surround us.
The People who continue to shine although, by all laws of nature, our light should have died out.
The People who cling to our faith and unique identity, even when members of our own family demand we throw it away, in hopes of being embraced by the nations of the world.
The People who choose to fight rather than surrender. Warriors, willing to fight impossible odds, to protect the sanctity of our sisters, the future of our families and the sovereignty of our land - knowing that when we freely make that choice the God of Israel walks with us into battle.
And we thank God for the miracles performed for us, in the times of the Maccabees and today.
And we look at the sons and daughters of Israel and say with tear filled eyes and fierce hearts, the Maccabees LIVE.
