the guys in my local coffeeshop have this ‘flat earth’ debate right now and I’m just sitting here like. yes.
After I did the little doodle: (here), a friend of mine decided to it done as a tattoo. This got another of my friends thinking and she asked me to design her one. She moved away from Milwaukee a couple of years ago, misses the city and our local coffee terribly. Here’s what I put together for her, lots of free stock used for the effects, and is inspired by the old logo of 8th Note, the coffee shop I worked at in college where we hung out. Forever Milwaukee love.
she gets poems while i get her scraps
the most annoying human being ended up being one of my really good friends. who would’ve thought that college would introduce you to such people. first semester i was having insecurity issues (if you would see her you would know why). with only weeks of knowing him he slapped me off my ass and pointed out every good quality in me, helped me appreciate myself, made me feel like I was important to him, he made me re-evaluate my relationship, and encouraged me to continue down the right path. although he did all of that for me my relationship with him got stronger. he still presented himself as the tough, intellectual, kung fu master BUT today i was able to see a new side of him and i am so thankful for it. turns out he is one of the sweetest person in the 8th note. i cant explain how much i love this kid… not to mention he is the greatest poet alive! gotta love him for it. I’ll miss him next semester.
We have some new board games for checking out coming this fall semester: Four-Player Chess, Cards Against Humanity (with Expansions), and Chinese Mah Jong. AND... we will be doing a beta test of sorts on a check out system for video games too. This isn't a hall pass to bring your own home consoles in, we are only allowing to check out our own consoles and games.
