We all have off periods, so I shouldn’t feel too guilty. I guess if my depressive slumps only affect the writing action, as opposed to ideas and inspiration, I’d say my medicine is working better than I thought it would. I’ll take it and hope it’s not a fluke. 

Anyway. I’m taking some liberties, again. Surely, not only could a neurosurgeon be good at stitching living flesh together, but would also know she wasn’t the “right” sort of qualified to do it.
