“Excuse me-- hello, excuse me, you wouldn’t happened to have seen a pearl necklace lying around here, would you? It’s really beautiful, really vintage, really expensive. Well, you would know it if you’d seen it.”
“Would you like a free pizza?” Christopher pushed the box towards the approaching person, pure disappointment etched into his expression. “I accidentally ordered anchovies and I just... can’t handle that.”
“No, I swear to you,” Colton's expression remained serious, “I know the law like the back of my hand -- UK and US. It is definitely not illegal.”
“Don’t take this the wrong way or anything, but if you don’t stop chewing so loud, I refuse to be held responsible for stabbing this pencil through your fucking eyeball.”
♔ NAME: COLTON ROGERS ♔ AGE: 20 YEARS ♔ FC: JOHN BOYEGA ♔
Colton Rogers had a very happy childhood, surrounded by love and entertainment from the moment that he took his first breath. Despite living in a fairly calm and boring city, he never grew bored and he never ran out of things to do as he made his own fun, usually playing with his friends exploring the neighborhood, their imaginations running wild. And he had many friends. It was hard not to like him. Kids knew that he was fun, he was nice and he always seemed to have fresh baked goods at home. Parents knew that he well behaved, he was grounded and he was smart. It was obvious to everyone that met the boy that he was going to do something special in his life. But no one really knew what that was, not even Colton. When he was questioned about what he wanted to do when he grew up, who he wanted to be, he seemed to have a new answer every single time.
His mind changed with the seasons, but no one could say that he didn’t give his dreams his all. When he wanted to be a basketball player, he stayed outside until he mastered the hook shot, well into the early morning. When he wanted to be a wrestler, he worked out until his entire body ached, every spare minute that he had spent in the gym. An artist, a teacher, a skateboarder. The word can’t was not in his dictionary. It wasn’t until he was sixteen that something finally stuck and Colton realized that more than anything, he wanted to go into the police force. He had always had a great appreciation for life though the older he got, the more he began to notice how much was wrong with the world and just how many people were willing to waste the time that they were given or sit on the sidelines and let it pass them by.
He was going to make a difference for those people, and for the people that felt burdened by them. His family had their doubts, everyone did, but he knew that this was the dream he had been looking for and with his will and determination, it wasn’t out of his reach. Two years before college his hard studying began. Watching every crime documentary he could get his hands on and checking every police related book out of the library, Colton was going to be on top of the game, he was going to make sure that nothing stood in his way. But his small town had limited school options so as hard as it was, he said his goodbyes to his family and bought a one way ticket to London. He had heard of a school there that sounded like a place of dreams, broken or whole, welcoming troubled students with open arms. He was far from that himself but what better place to prepare him to deal with criminals than a school full of delinquents?

PAULA BEAUREGARD: Paula was beautiful, she was an old soul, she was special. It was hard not to be intrigued by her. And it was no secret that the feeling was mutual as she was usually the one initiating the flirting. But she was also the one that shied away when things got too serious. She didn’t have to be blunt, it was clear by the way she spoke that she didn’t believe her parents would accept him and that stung, but he didn’t know the whole story. Mostly because she wouldn’t tell him. All he knew was that she had her flaws but he accepted her for them and he believed that they could truly be happy together, if she just wasn’t so hung up on the idea of disappointing her parents.

♔ NAME: PAULA BEAUREGARD ♔ AGE: 19 YEARS ♔ FC: HALSTON SAGE ♔
Even as a teenager, Paula Beauregard was the kind of person that had her life together. She knew what she liked despite the trends that came and went and she knew who she was. She was classy, she was nice, she was pretty, she was smart and most of all, she was rich. Or, really, her parents were rich. But she received her fair share for just existing, for getting straight As, tidying her room and following their rules. And she did whatever it took to keep them happy because a life of wealth was the only life that she knew. Keep her grades up and her reputation squeaky until the day she graduated college and a large portion of their hard earned money would go straight into her bank account. Simple. There was only one fatal flaw in Paula’s plan: her boyfriend. Her secret boyfriend.
She knew that her parents wouldn’t approve. It was the reason she was with him in the first place, not because she actually felt anything for him. The sneaking around was exciting and that was what her life lacked, some excitement. But getting caught with him half dressed in the middle of the night was not something she planned on, and it was not an easy fix. She was humiliated, but her parents were furious. As much as she insisted that it would never happen again, the trust was broken, and they could only see one solution... transferring their daughter to a new school, one that she had no say in. Soon enough she was packing up to spend her sophomore year at an academy she had never heard of -- one that, her parents hoped, would keep her on the right path. Especially with prosperity hanging over her head.
It was not what she wanted, but Paula’s entire world revolved around name brand clothing and expensive cars, and the thought of never ordering caviar again was enough to send her into a sobbing fit so she held her head as high as she could and bit her tongue. She was strong enough to not let one setback break her, but she could feel a new wave of resentment building. She did not like being under anyone’s control and with each passing day spent at her new campus, her irritation grew. If only she could stand up to the people that had brought her into the world without risking her entire future.

COLTON ROGERS: No boys. That was the one rule Paula knew she had to abide when she transferred schools, both for her parents and her own benefit. Boys had gotten her into this mess. It didn’t matter how cute or charming they were, none of them were worth the trouble that came with them. Still, through no control of her own, she seems to have picked up a habit of her eyes wandering to Colton a little more often, laughing a little bit harder in his presence, touch lingering a little longer, and sometimes she wonders just how bad it would be to give into the temptation... even if kissing him means kissing her inheritance goodbye.

♔ NAME: CHRISTOPHER EVERWOOD ♔ AGE: 18 YEARS ♔ FC: KENDALL SCHMIDT ♔
If Christopher Everwood could be summed up in one word, it would be good. He was a good kid. He was a good brother. He was a good son. Not bad. Not great. Just good. The second word to sum him up would would be… average. As far as he could remember, he had always been average. He had no outstanding traits, no strange hobbies, no physical attributes that made him stand out in a crowd. He was not the leading character in a novel, simply the guy in the background that cracked a joke or two, the one that was forgotten about with a flip of a page. It wasn’t that he minded. Being the middle kid in a family of seven, it hadn’t taken him long to get used to being just another face in the crowd, left behind on a regular basis.
During his freshman year of high school it was decided that he would go to college to become a physician. It wasn’t his dream, but it was a decent job. He would make good money to support his family whenever the time came for him to get married and have a child, continuing to be a face in the crowd. The path in front of him was clear and simple and he took some comfort in knowing that he had a plan. He was not happy, but he was content with being the kind of guy that flew under the radar and he assumed that he always would be. Until Destiny came crashing into his life.
In comparison to the younger girl, Christopher’s future seemed far too dull. She lived as though tomorrow was not promised, as if she did not care who was watching or what they were thinking. Instead of fearing the unknown, she embraced it. She was her own person in such a breathless way that made him feel like a facade. He began to second guess the lifestyle he had planned for himself. He wanted to be something. He wanted to feel something, the way that he felt when he was in the presence of the girl that he was undeniably falling for. She gave him the determination that he needed to dare to step out of his comfort zone. To make something of himself – even if he didn’t know what that something was going to be. He may have been an average person, but she was showing him that didn’t mean he couldn’t lead an extraordinary life.

DESTINY BROOKS: She was captivating. She felt so much, so strongly, and for someone that just went with the flow instead of fighting the current, he wanted to hear every word that fell from her lips. She was beautiful. She was powerful. She was funny. She knew what she wanted. There was nothing average about her at all. It didn’t matter that he was sure her breath would never catch in her throat when she caught him staring, it didn’t matter that he was certain she would find someone more interesting than him, the way that Christopher felt was out of his control and as he did everything else, he just went along with it. Her name was Destiny and of one thing he was sure, it was his destiny to fall for her.
STEFAN CAPULET: Chris enjoys being in Stefan’s company. As much as he truly wants to make a change in himself and his life, there are times that he feels an immense amount of pressure to try harder, to be better, and when the stress gets to him Stefan is easily the best person to be around. When they hang out it’s like it used to be, he can forget about plans and responsibility and just chill. The older guy doesn’t make him feel like he isn’t enough or he has to change and in turn, he supports him unconditionally and tries to make it known that he never has to put on a facade for him.
THOMAS EATON: There are enough similarities between the two boys that it was easy for a friendship to blossom. Thomas is kind and trustworthy, he was funny and genuine, if you ask Christopher he has all of the qualities that a good friend needs and he considers him one.
♔ NAME: DESTINY BROOKS ♔ AGE: 16 YEARS ♔ FC: AMANDA LEIGHTON ♔
From the moment that she was born, screaming her little lungs out, Destiny has always been too much. Too loud. Too opinionated. Too rough. Too outgoing. Too rude. She was a good kid -- she shared her toys and her candy, she said please and thank you, she befriended the children that sat alone -- but she was not the kid that her parents had wanted and that was clear from a very young age. Before she was walking and talking they had practically written scripts for her entire life and expected her to follow them. Unfortunately, the little girl had a mind of her own. She refused to sit still and silent while her mother brushed and braided her hair. She asked for action figures instead of dolls. She questioned why she had to be home at 6:00 instead of 6:01. It was a never ending cycle that only reached new extremes with passing time. The more she rebelled, the stricter her parents became. The stricter they became, the more she rebelled.
She was a fire that refused to be put out, eventually channeling her determination and passion into things that mattered, making signs and arranging protests. She had a voice and she was not afraid to use it to speak up for people that couldn’t. It didn’t matter to Destiny whether she was marching alone or not, as long as she was doing something. She refused to live an empty life, to wake up one day to find she was eighty years old and had wasted all of the time that she’d had to do something good. She wasn’t the only one in her town that felt that way. She gained allies, they may have been few and far between but she gained them, as she stood on park benches shouting through a megaphone. She may have been the laughingstock of her neighborhood for some but for others she was changing minds and she was proud of herself.
Her parents, however, were not proud. Their reputations were at stake and as word continued to get back to them, they felt they had to put a stop to their daughter’s ridiculous antics. In a desperate attempt to turn her into the lady they felt she should be, they sent her to a boarding school far enough away that whatever mistakes she made would not be broadcast on their local news channel. Destiny did not fight their decision, packing her bags with a smile on her face. She felt strongly that this was a good change, she would be away from their watchful eyes and free. She went away willingly, but she was not underneath their control. They could ship her off, they could take away her megaphone, but there was one thing she was sure of: she would never be silenced.

CHRISTOPHER EVERWOOD: He looked at her like she was important. That was the first thing Destiny noticed when she met Christopher Everwood. When she spoke, he shut up, willing to hear every last word. He didn’t shush her or act like she was a child the way that so many others did. He saw the fire in her eyes and he did not try to tame it. He held doors open for her and pulled out chairs but he never once tried to make her feel like she was not equal to him. He was a friend that she was grateful to have and though she can’t help but wonder why butterflies dance against a cage in her stomach when he smiles, she totally does not have a crush on him. Not one bit.
IRIS CALDWELL: Despite the fact that Iris is older than her, Destiny has made it another one of her many missions to coax Iris out of her comfort zone -- time and time again. She has no plans to get the other girl in trouble, she just wants to have fun and try new things with her friend, but if that’s what it takes to break her out of her shell then she certainly isn’t past it. She cares about Iris and she truly believes that it’s for her own good. What is the point of life if you aren’t living it to its fullest potential?
