Telescoping out now, I find I have been many girls, as needed. And I suppose this is just one more iteration of the changeful girlhead; the diarist, the storyteller, the seeking, limpid eye. My vision is clouded, many-lashed, searchlit, planing. Surfaces against surfaces. The unsteady seas of time and context washing away self and washing up new problems from the deep. I am still mysterious to you, but I won't be once the story is told. The only mystery left will be what to do with story behind us. The rest is unfathomable.
