What is the most difficult obstacle you face as a leader and how would you say you overcome it?

Cooking for everyone while avoiding setting the dorm on fire. It happened once, it can happen again.

I’m kidding. I did become a better, hazard-free cook and since we live in our own apartments, it’s not quite as difficult to compromise or sort out small issues here and there. I always had a more carefree approach to my assigned role but it doesn’t go to say I’ve been relaxed and took things as they came. Never did, never really have. One of the most difficult obstacle faced... Ah. All four of us have different personalities; very different with our one common denominator being how loud we are? We’re quite noisy when we’re all put together under the same roof or in the same car and sometimes, we do get carried away a lot so it’s easy to lose yourself in the atmosphere. Despite that, as mentioned, we all have different personalities and when you’re put in a team with expectations and demands, you need to get your head on your shoulders and bring everyone together. Check their likes, dislikes; what makes them tick and what makes them calm; what stresses them and what provides comfort. It was a little difficult at the beginning but I suppose that’s something faced by almost every group, right?

When it comes to overcoming it, you can’t really wait and I’m sure you know it. You’re working towards a debut or a comeback and you don’t have time to sit, stare and observe to analyse group dynamics. It’s easier said than (sometimes) done but you get everyone to sit and talk. I find conversation to be the best way to solve issues and bring everyone closer together. It is hard to talk about certain things and give an insight to your feelings but at the end of the day, you need to get out of your comfort zone because it’s the only way you move forward as an individual and a team.

If that doesn’t work, try setting the dorm on fire so they know you’re fearless. Plus, it’s a team bonding activity. One laughs and takes photos, two try to put out the fire, another screams for help.

Still, in the midst of it all, I wanted to wish you a good Chuseok in advance rather than waiting until the very last minute. Do you have the chance to go back home for the holiday? Or is it just wishful thinking for now? Take care of yourself and I hope everyone else is doing well. Even if you’re working towards a comeback, take some time during the holiday and eat lots. Give yourself the day for it,” she encourages, the words followed by a small, short laugh. “So once again, have a wonderful Chuseok, Jaebum-ah! I’m looking forward to the comeback, by the way. You’ll hear from me then too, for sure. Okay— take care, yeah?”

If that’s what the word travelling around town says, it’s not too far off from the truth, noona. Of course, as it goes with every comeback, there’s little I can say about it but it really isn’t a long wait away at all. Look forward to it if time allows you, noona.

No false alarms? No maybe or we’ll see? It feels like it was only just yesterday when I was listening to Fly and here you guys are, ready to put out another comeback. I’ll make sure to keep an eye and an ear out for further news of it and rest assured I’ll give my full support towards it, Jaebum-ah. So there’s little you can say about it, huh? No hints, small little clues here and there? A tiny piece of the upcoming puzzle? Nothing?

I think this actually happened a couple of weeks ago, actually. I’m not the type to get mad quickly but there are certain things I simply cannot stand and one of these things would be animal abuse. I was called somewhere near the middle of the night by my manager who was in turn called by someone else who needed an emergency vet; a small kitten, victim of an accident, was found on the street. Whether it was an accident or not, nothing excuses ignorance towards stuff like this; inevitably, I got really, really mad but I’m extremely pleased the cat’s condition improved massively since!

taurus: are you a dog or cat person?

I’m an everything person! I did adopt cats because they’re more fitting for my lifestyle but if I were less busy, I would have loved a dog. Whatever animal, big or small, I’m the person for them. ㅋ ㅋ
