Audience, Part Two, Research Activity #2, Week Four, PH 402
I believe they target all three segments. The creators behind this campaign talks about how if you want to be “Fabulous” and look young, stop smoking. They campaign about creating a better society and culture for the LGBT community.
They arrived at these segments by probably talking to the LGBT community, questioning the things that they do on a daily basis and what they’re interested in. They created a link for LGBT emojis. If you ask anyone with a mobile device. They use emojis. Who wouldn’t want a personalized emoji in something they identify with. Making this move on the campaign must of really got viewers and the target audiences attention because it got mine and I don’t identify with that culture/community.
In my opinion, they hit this campaign right on target. The campaigners give the target audience reasons why to stop, they gave personal stories on stopping, and they gave points on how to become tobacco free. They creating a visually appealing website and channels on tumbler. They attract their audience by giving them what they want to hear and see. Also, by putting up events this will bring the community together and get people talking about why they should be tobacco free. Having events at clubs and pride festivals is right on target with the audience the campaigners are trying to get through to. Especially when they might be taking part in the action of smoking cigarettes at these events. So, they can literally nip the habit in the bud, no pun intended!
