This took me literally three tries with three different settings. But here we are. Migz/Livi (iz oc’s)
Small feet dart across the metal grated deck of the ship. No one stops them, no one notices. Sometimes it pays to be small. Migz clutched the small cylinder in his arms, his eyes wide and looking around in confusion. He didn’t know where they were going. Everywhere looked the same to him. All he could do was follow as the Vortian girl Livi tugged on his pak leg, practically dragging him in her wake.
His antennae twitched in agitation as the ship rattled and groaned. The damage he’d caused had likely been not as superficial as he’d originally planned. But it was too late and he honestly didn’t care at this point. Something exploded behind them, causing the deck to shudder, knocking them to the ground. Migz shifted in time so he didn’t break the cylinder he held, although the seedling within bumped the glass and made a soft hiss. He murmured an apology, but they had little time before he was pulled back on his feet.
Several tense moments passed as they worked along an empty corridor before they entered the cargo bay. There the girl let out a sigh of relief. Then she pulled Migz to a small ship and pushed him towards it. When he stumbled to a stop and looked at her in confusion, she huffed in irritation while going to a terminal.
“Take the dinghy and get out of here already. I’ll make sure they don’t know that it’s checked out till you get a head start.” Migz cocked his head to the side, one of his antennae tilted towards her curiously. He knew what she was doing, but he couldn’t understand her reasoning for doing it. Why would she betray her own kind like this? And to help him of all people? They had taken him for the express purpose of using him to spy on Irk. His pak made a sparking sound as it tried to keep up with his thinking processes. What if they found out that she helped him escape?
“Ok, Look. forget about me ok. Just get out of here,” Livi tried to urge him with a flip of her hand. His blank expression increased her agitation. Smacking the console, which whined as it accepted the last command, she stomped over to him with the clear intention of making him leave.
“But what if I can’t! What if I can’t forget you?” He finally managed to say, a tinge of fear in his voice. Though he had been the one to cause all of the damages, Livi had been the one to let him out. If anyone figured that out, then she’d be the one in trouble. It only made sense that she came too. Why didn’t she see that? Migz tried to say these things to explain it to her, but try as he might, the words didn’t seem to make it beyond his thoughts. A thrumming could be heard within his pak as if it was trying harder than normal to do something.
Livi stopped, a look of surprise on her face. It clearly wasn’t what she had expected to come out of his mouth, but she recovered quickly. The surprise faded into a frown.
“Then I’ll just have to make it so you do.” Then she gave him a quick punch in the face.
Migz awoke soon after with a splitting headache. He was aboard a small vessel alone, aside from the seedling that was secured happily in its climate controlled pod. He had the vague sense that someone had helped him, but all he could recount was a voice and the sensation of being led somewhere. Shaking his head, Migz let the memory fade away without much pressure. If it was important, he’d remember, he decided.

3. Believe it or not, I’m a pluviophile! I listen to rain. lol I love movies and songs and games galore, but sometimes things all get to be too stimulating and I need to whittle it all down to something simple. And rain sounds tend to have a depth to them that don’t make me feel like I’m in a tight space, so I can breath through the anxieties and calm myself.
13. Oh dear, here I go again. XD I’ll talk about something refreshing, a new story. I have a story I wrote a while back. Many years ago. In fact it was one of those mini essays we used in creative Bench tests for school, if anyone is familiar with the lovely American school system. the one where you have two sides of a page to write a story based on some random prompt. lol Anyways, I loved my story so much that I wrote a novel about it. It was about a boy, who loved the paranormal. Kind of like Dib, but waaay before I ever knew about that critter. lol Anyway, he could see spirits and wanted to work in this famous graveyard as a spirit guide. But he wasn’t old enough and everyone thought he was a cooky nerd. He ran a side biz with his buddy, kind of like ghost hunters. Anyways, one night he gets this creepy omen from this homeless lady, who warns him never to take this rando road. But he’s a dumb teen, so of course he does. Welp, he gets run off the road, and almost dies. Almost, because creepy homeless lady saved him by putting his soul in the body of a cat. The transfer took all her power, so she died. anyways, long and short of it (as if this isn’t long already) he is working in that graveyard, with spirits just like he wanted, just not as he thought he would. And he solves the mystery of a string of missing kids. His names Nathaniel, he’s a black cat, but when he was human he was a ginger. And his partner is the caretaker of the graveyard, a Native American named Sydney. XD God, its an ancient story, but one day I want to get it published. If ever I can find an editor to help me polish this sucker.
18. none, I am happy with my kitteh, but I do wish that we had more animals that could readily just be around for us to observe. Not like in a zoo. but like fishbowls on mechanical legs that just carried around sea turtles wherever they wanted to go on land. Or like giraffes, just walking down the street. We are too segregated from the wild. It beckons us at our doorstep. ^’^
