One of my favorite youtubers (and an EAH youtuber) _fairytale_vibes_ created a theory about EAH that Apple White and Raven Queen were actually swapped at birth, and this theory is really fun to think about especially with how well it integrates into the canon story of EAH and their characters. If you haven’t heard of the theory before I’ll explain it, because it’s really cool! But I definitely recommend checking out her channel on youtube because she makes loads of really good EAH content.

The swapped at birth theory combines a lot of evidence from the show and books that stand out and go for the most part unaddressed. The biggest thing is how Raven and Apple’s behavior mirror how their characters are supposed to act in the original stories.

In the destiny of Snow White, she is supposed to be selfless and not want the power or responsibility of being queen and is rewarded for her selflessness, much like Raven who does not care and is very selfless. Raven really doesn’t care about her destiny all that much, whether it was becoming the next hated evil queen or becoming a beloved Snow White, she didn’t want that and would always do her own thing even if she knew she was swapped at birth. Regardless of her heritage or assigned story, she would always be herself, and wanted that same choice for others.

The Evil Queen on the other hand is a very selfish person obsessed with her self image and being Queen, which is exactly how Apple behaves in EAH. She is obsessed with her talking mirror that compliments her and looks at it constantly, she expects other people to compliment her and do things for her, and she is very self centered. (Not that I blame her, it’s how she was raised, but she is that way) Apple’s whole world view would be shattered if she learned she was not really Snow White, but since she’s such a staunch royal, I think she would try to play the part of the evil queen anyways kind of like she did in dragon games. Eventually in _fairytale_vibes’_ theory, Apple realizes she doesn’t like being evil and simply can’t do it, understands Raven’s point of view, and finally accepts that she and everyone else can choose their own destiny.

Anyways that was my extremely long winded background information for some swapped at birth theory / evil Apple arc theory image collages I made on pinterest which I will post soon that I’m really proud of lol

Although my head cannons don't agree with the timeline shift theory, I do believe that monster high does not happen in the human world. I believe that there are ways for story characters to pass the fourth wall to get to the human world, but MH does not take place in our world (the human world).

I believe the story universe and our universe are separated by the fourth wall.

The story universe is compromised of a Sci Fi story world, a mythology story world, a fairytale world, wonderland, a ghost stories world (MH Haunted), and a monster stories world (at least). (There is probably an OZ and Narnia world. How have we only seen Wonderland in EAH? Wonderland isn't a traditional fairytale, Wonderland is more in line with Oz and Narnia.)

This would explain why the monster high map does NOT look like our Earth. However, humans still live in monster stories because how else would we have the original tales of Dracula, Frankenstein, or Jekyll and Hyde. The human species exists in EAH, so why can't they exist in small towns like Salem in MH? (It is easier to travel between story worlds than cross the fourth wall to our universe.)

I do believe that the brothers Grimm somehow crossed into the fairytale world, and being humans from our universe, they essentially had god like powers. If the humans from our universe are the ones who created these stories, who created the story universe, then humans from our universe are gods who controlled the first generation of these stories. Their children, since they didn't write their own original fiction and were born in the fairytale world, don't have these godlike powers.

But the brother's Grimm didn't write original stories, they adapted and archived collected tales. Perhaps they could go back and forth between the worlds and saw what EAH was before they published their first book. Perhaps that world was chaotic of wild magic, some dark age of conflicting characters. Perhaps they built the first school and made the original storybook (their book) believing they found a solution and order, and perhaps their sons tried to follow their father's noble mission to control wild or dark beings like The Evil Queen. But the original brother's Grimm are now dead, and these characters now have children, so Giles and Milton are left searching for a new order. They don't know what is best because this is the first time these issues have happened. That is the only way I can explain EAH.

Idk what this means for MH either, but this is my interpretation and head canons.
