The streets were the usual on Tuesday. People making their way past , hurrying to their work. The sounds of so many shoes patterns and car horns filled the air. Nothing new for the city of Gotham. The city itself was always filled with life and delightful scenery, only during the day in all honesty. When it comes to nightfall, the streets are dead quiet and usually crime is scattered every now and then. He would know, he would definitely know. The newspaper gave him the idea of this town and it's flaws, as he needed to know as he was moving into it.
A man in his 20s,sat in his chair reading a newspaper with the black and white ink put into a pattern to read the criminals and crimes committed. He didn't care if there was that much of a problem,he wasn't gonna live in the direct center of Gotham, just near the entrance to it, so he didn't have to worry as much compared to those who spend time in the center. The center of Gotham always got hit harder then any other part should. That's why he choose to live father away, not on the rich side of Gotham though, the actual entrance to Gotham. It was a small area with a few houses where middle wages people lived. He choose that area mainly to have some peace and quiet without the need to worry. He just didn't like the idea of heading to the center of Gotham for groceries or need supplies but he sighed knowing he had no choice.
The man in question was called M/N Verin. M/N recently left his old city in order to escape anything related to his biological family. Verins were known to be harsh and mysterious beings who held no one at mercy point. They also weren't the best family members either, it was either, obey and be a proper model to others or be a disgrace to the name. M/N however grew up to the point where he gave zero fucks and left. He knew he didn't need to suffer anymore and no longer had debt held over his head as he paid it off so he was free from that type of life. Leaving his family to suffer and handle there very own consequences. He use to handle everything, making himself out to be this scary and rather intimidating man but in reality,he was very tired and annoyed 24/7. He now works as a artist and novelist. Big change, I know but he didn't really care. He was doing something he really enjoyed and anyone who said otherwise were immediately kicked out of his life with a middle finger above the exit.
The house he was moving into was simple and small with a rather large yard, a light blue coat of paint and brown roof. A upstairs with three windows in the front of the house and four on the bottom floor of the house. Entering the house lead you straight into a hallway with two large doorways on either side and a stair case in the center alongside another hall leading into the kitchen. The upstairs lead into a hallway with four rooms. Two on the right side of the stairs and the same on the other. The bathroom in the center across from the stair case. M/N used the two rooms on the right of the stair case while the other two were extra rooms for anything of use. The furthest room , closest to the window on the right side of the hallway, was his bedroom and the room next to him was his work room.
As the box's were being moved into the dinning room on the right side of the staircase down stairs, he was busy moving taking the smaller yet most important boxes into his room for safety. The smaller box's held items of greater value, well to himself that is. Placing the last box onto his desk in his room, he sighed, tapping on the wooden surface gently. He already has enough ,yet he feels like he's missing something. Just not sure what. It's probably the idea of family he lacks but he's fully aware that he can't head back. There's no turning back now. Stepping back and heading downstairs to collect the remaining box's as the idea slowly faded for another day. As the sun soon began to sat, he reached into his pocket, pulling his leather wallet and taking a couple of bills and handing them off to the people who helped him move. They took the money, nodding in return before getting into their vehicles and driving off. He watched the tale lights slowly disappear down the road before walking inside and locking the door behind him. He glanced towards the two rooms on either side of the main hallway, both rooms had a few boxes scattered here and there but he was already tired enough so he decided to clear it out later. His bed was calling him and he really wanted to answer. Making his way upstairs and into his room, he plopped down on the bed with a large THUMP .
He pulled the blankets over him, burying his face into the pillows. Nap time sounded wonderful at the moment and honestly,he wasn't complaining.
