Someday, BSD fans will stop complaining about the lack of black-and-white characters and understand that the whole point of the work is its multi-genre nature, moral ambiguity, and narrative that doesn't chew over every detail but rather demands thought and analysis. This is precisely what deep engagement with art is all about. But many still expect a simple story with a linear plot and clear heroes and villains, and are then surprised when they don't get it.
