A Confessional Pt. 4: Here on my Knee Before High Heaven and You
I guess there's a time in every girl's life when she want to feel loved. She want to feel the earth move from under her when that one special person enters her mind. Are there words to describe such a feeling? And I'm not talking romance exactly. There's the love you receive from a pet when you walk in the door after they haven't see you all day. There's the love from your mother when she makes you your favorite meal. There's the love from your father when he hugs you on your way out on a first date. There's the love of your grandparents who relish the hours you spend with them once a week. There's the love of your siblings who despite all of the bickering couldn't think of living a day without you. But there is a love that bears no reasoning. It's a structural chaos can leave you with no perception or direction. But we as humans crave this. It's almost as fundamental as physical attraction. Kindred spirits, companionship and the like. What if one feels none of this? Is it possible that in this big, big world, one can feel minuet? Like just a moment? Or is the entire concept of love detrimental? Can it destroy someone? We want to and need to feel love and be loved. And this is the cost.
