A Date w/ Egon

Y’all, let’s be honest I am horrid at this posting thing. For the record, I am taking a summer semester class and I have a final in two weeks. I should be studying :’) BUT INSTEAD I’M WRITING THIS EGON BIT. I love the character, he’s funny, he’s smart, and a real caring guy I’m really going to try my best . This is probably gonna be so OOC, but let’s go for it anyways! Hope you like it!

It starts off with you two mutually crushing and mutually in denial about the possibility of reciprocation.

He’s nervous, so the question is extremely straightforward.

“Y/N, I’d like to take you out sometime. A date.”

You’re floored and you respond super enthusiastically which eases his nerves a lot.

It’s an afternoon date when he’s off duty, so you guys go out for coffee first.

You’re used to seeing him in either his lab coat or his Ghostbusters uniform, so the sweater vest is new.

"Cute vest. That’s a nice color.” Cue flustered stuttering “Thanks”.

Post-caffeine he takes you to a huge science museum.

Because he’s a mega-nerd.

You know it, and you love it.

He lets you kind of drag him around to all your favorite exhibits. 110% because he loves watching your face light up and the way you get excited about things.

The two of you sneak glances at one another when the other isn’t looking.

Both of you notice. Neither of you are subtle.

You’re walking next to him and his hand brushes against yours and next thing you know, you’re holding hands walking through the astronomy exhibit.

You didn’t know he’d be interested in any PDA.

There is definitely no complaining; his hand is warm and this place is a freezer.

He’s trying to impress you with his smarts, and you have to smile because it’s so sweet and endearing.

The museum eventually closes and he walks you home.

Your fingers are laced together now.

HE MADE THE MOVE TO DO SO

On the door step to your apartment, you’re standing really close together.

You thank him for taking you out.

“I had a lot of fun.” “Me too.”

Both of you two are way too scared for a real goodnight kiss.

So after he pulls you into a hug, you give him a little cheek kiss.

He’s totally blushing but who cares because so are you.

BONUS: Ray follows behind in sunglasses and a really obvious fake mustache for the first half of the date to make sure everything goes well for his science bro. 

BONUS #2: He gets back to the fire station and tells the guys everything because it was literally one of his best days ever and he likes you a ton.
