A Date-Type Situation
Raquel wasn't nervous.
Or, so she told herself. She ignored the butterflies in her stomach and the way her hands felt inexplicably clammy-- none of that could deter her from the great night she was sure to have with Aqualad.
Although, she supposed he wasn't Aqualad anymore, at least not for the night. He could be 'Fishsticks' or 'Shark bait' or 'Kaldur' or just plain 'Kal'. Raquel felt much more at ease around him when she didn't have to skirt around civilian names. She couldn't quite say the same for him, but from what she had picked up Kaldur was exasperatingly formal to everyone. That didn't mean it wouldn't be a total turn-off if he called her Rocket at some point tonight, but hey, she would at least be able to know he was doing it out of habit.
Recognized A-05, Rocket.
The zeta beams still gave her the tingles, but Raquel remained the very picture of cool as her form materialized into Mount Justice. She and Kaldur had arranged to meet at the Cave. It was now, when she was actually going to do this and couldn't back out that she started feeling nervous. Luckily she had gone for stylish and comfortable tonight-- nothing in-your-face to make either herself or Kaldur any more uncomfortable than they needed to be.
Raquel took a seat on one of the couches and waited for Kaldur to make his appearance as well.
