At least having no working game has pushed me to finally start organizing stuff to finally finish my goddamn fucking story. It's been so long but just for my own sake I need to get it out there (it's literally haunting me).

“I’ll be first to admit she irritates me,” Diego smirked, “but that was ice-cold.”
“Shut up,” Sky dismissed, “I haven’t forgiven you yet either.”
“Oh yeah?” he challenged, “what can I do to make it up to you?” he shifted closer to her on the sofa, watching her reaction intently.
“Nothing,” she huffed, though she didn’t pull away when he leaned in.
“Not even this?” he grinned against her throat, planting several gentle kisses.
“Hmm, not yet…” she exhaled, her posture softening.
“How…about…now,” he whispered, trailing along the exposed skin of her collarbone.
“You have to do better than that,” she countered.
“Understood,” he purred, a sly grin on his lips.

“Thanks for picking up this time,” I said.
“What do you want?” she replied abruptly. I’ve been trying so damn hard since coming home but Sky still hates me.
“Just to talk,” I sighed, “I’m sick of you being mad at me.”
“I can be as mad as I want for as long as I want,” she retorted, “you put me through hell and back.”
“I know,” I admitted, “and I’m sorry. But I missed you so fucking much, you gotta forgive me eventually.”
“I will, eventually,” she said, “but not today. Bye, Aida.”

Later…
We spent the afternoon walking around downtown. It blew my mind how things have changed since I was here last. I was happy to see that Crass Records was still open. Maybe they’d take me back…
As we headed towards the crosswalk I was almost tackled to the ground.
“I knew it!” a familiar voice cried, “I knew you’d be back!”
“H-hey Tillie,” I winced, “I can’t breathe…”
“Sorry Aida,” Tillie released her grip, her eyes shining with happy tears. She paused a moment. “Wait! Shit! I left Airdan when I ran after you!”
“I’m here, love,” a voice said behind us, “it’s good to see you again, Aida.”
I raised an eyebrow at Tillie, who grinned coyly in response. It was then I noticed the massive rock on her finger. Holy shit, things really have changed.

"You selfish bitch!" Sky screamed, shoving Kole away as she pounded on me, "we were trying to help you! Instead you take off! What were you doing while we were here crying for you, worried sick that you were dead? All this fucking time you were still in Windenburg like some goddamn hipster!"
Even if I wanted to hit her back, even in self-defense, I wouldn't have been able to. I deserved all of her anger. It's not like I don't know I'm a fucking coward.
She continued to beat me, wailing hysterically until she ran out of steam, leaving us in a sobbing, bleeding heap, clinging to each other like our lives depended on it.
Kole managed to get us both to our feet, more than a little worse for wear.
"Nothing to see here!" I yelled at the gathering that had formed to watch the brawl. So much for my badass reputation.

“You knew.”
“Of course I knew,” Diego sighed, “I realize now I should have told you last night.”
He gingerly sat down beside her, as if expecting her to bolt. Sky didn’t move, too drained from today’s events to even acknowledge his admission.
“I heard you put on quite the show,” he continued, taking a trembling hand from her lap to examine the swollen, bruised knuckles, “I’d hate to see what Aida looks like.”
“Should have been your face,” she replied coolly, pulling her hand away.
“Is that so?” he raised an eyebrow, “because you can hit me if you like.”
“Go to hell.”

Kole and I made our way towards Sky's work. I got the address from Jace. I was sure Diego would be pissed, but fuck, I had Kole with me. I needed to get out, to put my life back together, even if I had to drag him everywhere.
Before we could approach the place, she appeared. I couldn't quite believe my eyes, it was really her. With Kole in tow, I ran across the street, trying to get to her before she disappeared.
"Sky!" I called, "hey!"
She turned towards me, her eyes widening as she caught glimpse of me.
"A-Aida?"
"Sky!" I cried, wanting nothing but to pull her into a tight hug.
Her fist in my face stopped that real quick.
