Nightfall had long set when the carriage pulled to a stop outside Grimmauld Place. Thestrals huffing, tired and ready for the rest that awaited them. A faint flicker of candlelight visible through the rectangular windows. The carriage door opened, a nameless house-elf bowing and backing away. Unseen. Unheard. Stepping down, Phineas straightened his coat, fixed his gloves. The air full of cold rain and that familiar London fog.
What misfortune that these meetings required his presence rather than mere parchment. Truely, Spavin was exhausting.
He absentmindedly sighed, brows furrowed, as approaching, the door to his ancestral home, opened.
