۶ৎ hiccup haddock [httyd 2]
Lmao I never noticed toothless standing like that before 😭
Hiccup’s just a little guy :3
Rtte episode and the entire plot it Hiccup getting amnesia after a scuffle with the dragon hunters so he doesn’t remember anything that happened since before he shot down Toothless so when the gang tries to help him Hiccup thinks it’s some sorta sick joke or some prank the Twins and/or Snotlout is trying to pull because the gang he knows would never help him so he refuses their help
I'm so going to enjoy the fuck out of the music.

“Can't a son spend some quality time with his family?”
I cant be the only one who sees it, right?
Look at how much he loves his friends
Midnight Wrath🌕🌌
Was re-reading the second RoB comic, 'The Enemies Within...,' and I'm so intrigued with all the villains that Hiccup faces that mirror him in some way. Like, have you noticed that many of them reflect a specific part of Hiccup?
Alvin the Treacherous (Riders of Berk to Defenders of Berk) — Hiccup's sense of belonging and home.
Alvin is what Hiccup was for 15 years of his life; an outcast. Originally a Berkian, Alvin was casted out of the tribe due to some kind of rift between him and Stoick that is never explained in detail. Ever since that day, Alvin has been striving to take Berk back by force, only seeing his opportunity again once dragons show up on Berk.
One is an Outcast, the other was treated as one (and likely on his way to being one). Both wanted Berk. One through acceptance, the other through force.
Dagur The Deranged (Riders of Berk to Race To The Edge) — Hiccup's status and childhood.
Both are sons of chieftains, both are destined for the throne, both had a difficult childhood. (Dagur's mental health problems, losing Heather and their mother, Oswald disappearing when he's a teen, forcing him to take the throne at a young age, being bullied like he bullies Hiccup and Fishlegs)
But while one never let his hardships dull his good, compassionate heart, the other went so far off the deep end that his actions landed him in an Outcast Dungeon where he only became worse until three months of solitude (I think RttE stated three months?) forced him to reflect, but not before he ruined his sister's life, whether he knew he was attacking Heather's village or not.
Hroar (Riders of Berk comic, The Enemies Within... — The Stowaway) — Hiccup's wants and desires.
A brief summation of this comic: Hroar is this teenager who randomly shows up on Berk after he stowed away on a Berkian ship that was attacked by Outcasts. Through certain events and his own smarts, Hiccup figures out that the attack was a distraction so Hroar could stowaway and get to Berk under false pretenses and a fake backstory with the intent of learning how to train dragons and destroy Berk for Alvin the Treacherous.
First of all, Hroar is taller and buffer than him. He's lean, but he still seems stronger than Hiccup, who's a full head shorter than him.
Second of all, Hroar goes almost immediately from being disliked for his audacity to being loved by Berk, while it took Hiccup 15 years to find acceptance with his own people. In fact, Hiccup found it with a dragon first. He even gets the immediate affection from his friends, Astrid included.
(As a matter of fact, Hiccup goes to his friends with his concerns that something is off about Hroar, based on Toothless' immediate dislike of Hroar, but his friends call him jealous.)
Lastly, Hroar did what takes Hiccup until RttE to do; which is leave his home island to see what's beyond the horizon. It's a plot point that starts off this comic and Astrid even uses that as the reason for why she thinks Hiccup is jealous of Hroar.
But Hroar is not Hiccup. His want to learn about dragons isn't genuine. And while Hiccup calms dragons down, Hroar has the innate ability to piss them off. Drive them mad to the point of attacking each other.
Hroar is dragonroot to dragons while Hiccup is dragon nip.
Viggo Grimborn (Race To The Edge) — Hiccup's cleverness, his genius, taken to its most ruthless.
They're both unorthodox thinkers, prizing brain over brawn, while they're also great with a sword. And both grow obsessed after a loss. Viggo when he enters a losing streak around the time of season 4 because of Hiccup, Hiccup after his three year winning streak is suddenly broken because of Viggo and in a loss so frustrating that it had him yelling at the sky.
Drago Bludvist (Httyd 2) — Hiccup's role as a Dragon Master.
Both are Dragon Masters, both are amputees, both are amputees specifically because of dragons. But while one "controls" dragons through fear, harm, and a Bewilderbeast he broke long ago, the other "controls" dragons through love, understanding, and trust.
Calder (The Serpent's Heir) — Hiccup's sense of otherness and how he relates to dragons more taken to an extreme.
Hiccup literally admits in the comic to Calder how often he felt like "other" in his life. Hiccup tries to reach the sky on his own strength, Calder believes full on that he's a dragon trapped in human skin. One has earned the trust and love of a dragon that willingly shares the sky with him every moment they can, the other tries to steal Hiccup's and that same dragon's parts to become a dragon himself.
Grimmel The Grisly (Httyd: The Hidden World) — Hiccup's decision.
Both faced a Night Fury in a vulnerable position growing up, both made a decision that affected their lives. But while one chose cruelty, the other chose compassion and mercy. Both live a life revolved around dragons.
Sure, they can recreate HTTYD2 with real people. Some people might even like it.
But they will never, NEVER recreate that first teaser trailer where Hiccup took off his helmet for the first time and we all went feral over his glow up.
