ASK EDDIE RETURNS THIS THURSDAY!
Our first October ASK EDDIE livestreams this Thursday, October 14, 7:00 pm PT on the Film Noir Foundation's Facebook page FNF prez Eddie Muller responds to film noir fan questions fielded by the Foundation's Director of Communications Anne Hockens. We start this edition with a tribute to Bill Arney, “The Voice of Noir City”, who passed away on September 27. We then discuss film gris, the double slap in film noir, how to identify if a noir is an A film or B film, DASHIELL HAMMETT LOST STORIES, cons in noirs and more. Plus, Eddie explains the difference between the original and new edition of his book DARK CITY: The Lost World of Film Noir and how to get your copy signed at our upcoming NOIR CITY D.C. film festival. On the cat front, Charlotte is her usual opinionated self.
