Geoff was auctioning his old clothes on whatnot and I was there for the live so I’m gonna add some of the stories bc this man loves to yap

1. He said Davey of AFI offered to break someone’s nose for Geoff because they were talking shit about his wife (what do you mean wife Geoff 👀)

2. He saw Marilyn Manson as a local band when following NIN on tour. He first met Marilyn Manson at a record store and they both introduced themselves. Manson told Geoff his name is Brian so later on at the show Geoff called out his name and Manson got pissed off and threw a water bottle at Geoff. Later on one of the staff members explained on stage he’s Marilyn Manson and HATES being called Brian.

3. He begged his mom to take him to see U2 as a kid. At the time he said you could tell she was down about her job and the fact his father wasn’t home most of the day. When Geoff asked she replied saying U2 is shit and it’s radio garbage. When the went to the show a few songs in Geoff looked over and she was crying. The next day she took off from work and bought a bunch of U2 cds and wanted to go to concerts again. He said it was like it reignited something in her.

4. His Thursday jacket was supposed to go to the rock a roll hall of fame so he brought it to get dry cleaned. It had a lot of patches on it and the dry cleaner said he would make sure to be careful they didn’t fall off. They fell off so Geoff is working on putting the patches on a new one for the rock and roll hall of fame.

5. The nirvana shirt he auctioned was from the last show Kurt played. Frank iero asked him to hold onto it for him but Geoff said he forgot 😭

6. The MCR bullets shirt they gave to Geoff so ppl knew who mcr was when they were playing shows bc at first they were struggling to get traction

7. Justin Beck from glassjaw designed one of the Thursday shirts (the no devolución one) and when they were asking him abt if he would be able to design it he pulled out the Grammy nomination he got for designing glassjaws album cover and said he knew what he was talking about

8. After Thursday played warped tour one night they were talking with one of the alkaline trio members and Thursday were heading to the mall so he asked to tag along. Mid way through the car ride he says “I’m tripping so hard on acid rn man”

late to post about it but my bestie Ian and i saw AFI at the showbox sodo on april 15th! :3 i have seen AFI several times now, one of my favorite bands, it was so awesome to see them again!

Happy 20 years of Decemberunderground! AFI's 7th studio album was released on June 6th, 2006.

This is the album that introduced me to AFI (one of my favorite bands as a teen), so it holds a special place in my heart. I can't believe it's been 20 years now. What's your favorite track off the album, or favorite memory associated with it?
