Damn, now that is a strong start to an IF. For me personally within a few pages I generally get a feel for if I'll like whatever I'm reading or not, and believe me I've passed over a lot of IFs because of this, But, as for Lightweaver even though there isn't a great deal of content yet, it has me very invested already and that is because your writing is genuinely good, seriously can't wait to see where this goes. Can we get a few random facts about the Ros? if you don't mind?

So far, I’ve already established that there will be 3 ROs. I'll put some facts while listing them!

Luna/Leo Bancroft (gender-locked to MC's gender for plot reasons)

A fire weaver.

Loves gardening. It plays a big role in their character route. MC can choose to be interested in it (or not).

A huge cinnamon roll, but they're not afraid to poke MC's shell a bit while still being very careful of their boundaries.

Impulsive. Which sometimes does them good or bad.

Loves to show off their skills. They secretly love receiving praise, especially from MC.

Alice/Alec Langley (L's best friend)

A water weaver.

They enjoy duels and challenging situations. For a water weaver they can be quite rough!

An overthinker. Sometimes, amusingly so.

Logical and academic. But is still game for some good senseless banter. They don't pull their punches... except with MC.

Always has an icy look on their face, but really, that's just their resting bitch face.

June/Juno Patel (2nd year Launwyce student)

An earth weaver.

Intimidating. Always has a surly look on their face, and it's on purpose.

Animal lover. How MC handles animals will also play a big role in their character route. Seriously.

Loves taking care of someone (animals). But secretly loves being taken care of as well.

If you ask them if they're born in June, without a word, they will walk away.

Also wanted to say here that you don't actually have to romance any of them. I personally want their friendship and hate routes to be just as fulfilling! I honestly have so many plans for their route variations that I cannot sleep,,, This ended up being pretty long, oh well... I already have some character visuals for the cast, I might be able to finally make an intro post soon. (ﾉ´ヮ`)ﾉ*: ･

Small Dev Update!

I began writing again since the new year came around, and progress has been great so far. I discovered articy recently and it’s a godsend. Helps me so much in visualizing branching paths and organizing variables. I wish I saw this earlier.

I’m aiming to finish Chapter 1. It’s pretty long, so next estimated update will probably be February or March ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ

SO, I’ve been torn about this for awhile now. I totally see the poly potential of L & A, but I also see the love triangle shenanigans that could occur. I will only implement one... but I can also just scrap the ideas all together. I am 👌 with any.

Anyhow, I‘m just curious what you guys think!

PS: For clarity (just in case), poly options will be toggleable in the beginning of the game. So players who are not interested in it won’t have to encounter it at all.

The only reason I rather dislike love triangles is because of how often I read YA novels when I was younger with extremely toxic love triangles. Like, one of the LI's getting jealous and punching a wall type of toxic.

Either way, I don't think that'll happen here. But that's why I either pick one LI or a poly. Not that I think poly ships are inherently healthy, but it seems like when an author wants you to pick one over the other they try to make you hate one of them.

Aww nooo, it's a lot more like them tip-toeing around their feelings for MC and the looming conflict. There will be tension, yes. But I wouldn't paint anyone as 'bad' to make the other look better :)

If ever, I would like to make them all the more loveable to make it hard on ya'll mwahaha

I don't know if it's just me being too ignorant about how Tumblr works, or if you haven't written about it. But I was curious about the height of the RO's.

I love the fact we can be taller than every single RO (not all IF have this, even if they include height customization, and I love the idea of towering MC's a lot). Yet, I'm confronted with the doubt about the actual size ranges. For all I know, the difference between L and J could be like 6 inches or less.

But I also understand you probably have not said any specific measurements to leave it to the player to decide internally. Which is commendable. Yet my desire for precision persist.

Also, do the heights change based on gender? Like, a male J would be taller than a female J?

I'm also curious what would be, theorically, the minimal and maximum height ranges available for MC. Because sure, we can be shorter than L. But how short is L? And sure, we can be taller than J... But how tall is J?

Feel free to decline to answer, of course, I understand if you decided not to disclose this information. Is, after all, not truly important. Is more that I enjoy knowing the numbers, even though I have not real benefit from knowing.

I know this is super late... as with the rest of the asks I'm answering now - but it's totally fine!

I also love the idea of having a towering MC, like, a lot, a lot.

I did avoid using numbers bc the average height for u might be different for another - if that makes sense? The specifics are really up to the reader.

But in general, the height differences are roughly by half a head.

Something like this (including MC as blue and green):

Purple (tallest RO) > J

Red (shorter than J, taller than L RO) - A

Yellow (shortest RO) > L

Fun fact: I imagine Leo to be closest to Tom Holland's body type 🤓

But really, it can be further than that if you want. Their heads will most likely still have to bend a lot to look at MC (if taller or shorter) when I write the scenes 🤪

The heights don't really change in their gender counterparts, unless you imagine them to.

The ROs all seem great, but I think I'm going for A cause I really like the dynamic of a traumatized and closed off Mc slowly opening up to someone who also seems to be pretty reserved and vice versa.

Once you open that heart there’s no going back . . .
