About Zoe from ML...
Look, I’m willing to give Zoe a chance since not doing so would just be judging things before actually seeing it for myself (remember that episode Animestro?), but I seriously hope she’s not just:
-Simply a character that was brought in to competely replace Chloe. Honestly? It shouldn’t really be a BIG surprise that I don’t like Chloe as a character at this point. However, even though I am starting to feel sorry for Chloe and her crushed development/redemption, I’m still happy that she doesn’t have the bee miraculous anymore.
To be honest, I WANTED Chloe to get better, I WANTED a Chole redemption, I DO feel sorry for her (even if it is to a degree), I WANTED her to grow and stop being mean and disrespectful to people. However, if she won’t, then I really do feel like it’s just best if she doesn’t have the bee miraculous (or any other miraculous) ever again until she redeems (or at least reforms) herself, but I know that’s not going to happen anytime soon. Disagree if you want, but I just don’t think Chloe deserves a miraculous. Not now and not even before. Miraculous should be owned and given to people who are responsible and mature enough to handle that responsibility.
-Simply just “a nicer Chloe”. I’m already happy that she didn’t turn out to be Chloe’s twin sister or anything like that, but it still just seems like she’s a nicer Chloe. I hope for more character depth from Zoe and hope that she has character development outside of being “a sweet Chloe Bourgeois”, but knowing the writers/creators/Thomas, I’m really starting to doubt that. However, that’s what I hope.
-A Sabrina 2.0. Seriously, Zoe SERIOUSLY looks like a blonde Sabrina Raincomprix (without the big nose). TBH, I expect something like this to come from these guys at this point. I could ask why didn’t they just use Sabrina herself to be the next holder of the bee miraculous? This could of been Sabrina’s big break, her turn around, her REDEMPTION, her GROWTH, her chance to shine and even get development to even break away from Chloe, or be part of Chloe’s redemption WITHOUT being outshined by her!
But...what’s the point in asking or thinking about that possibility? Because I already know that’s not going to happen anytime soon😔 This show is NOT good with development nor redemptions. It’s not even that. The episodes are suposed to be watched in any order, so of course development and redemption is irrelevant in this series.
I basically just realized that at this point 🤷♀️ I seriously think Sabrina as the bee would of been SO interesting to cover! But alas. I still hope that Zoe isn’t just “a reedemed Sabrina Raincomprix”, but all I can do is hope...
All in all, I think Zoe brings something promising to the table, but I still wouldn’t get me hopes up. After all, at the end of the day, despite me still being a big fan of Miraculous Ladybug, this show is STILL just that: A show with MANY flaws that probably won’t fix anytime soon :/
