The Septic household was never at a stand still. While there were days of quiet, there was usually always something happening. Either someone was working, there were supernatural events going on, or they planned their nights of peace. It was rare that they had more of a day or two to simply have some downtime.
So, they decided to change that, planning a vacation and setting a date. It didn't matter what happened, they were getting their couple weeks just having as much time to themselves or as a family as they wanted.
And the day finally came, the house packing up and leaving their business at home, a long flight and drive awaiting them to get to their destination.
But after many hours of travel, they finally arrived. They opened the door to their suite and were met with a rather large livingroom with an attatched kitchen, a large bedrooms and a bathroom hidden behind doors that were along the wall.
"Woah..." Chase gasped, in awe at the gorgeous room. However, what caught their friend's eye was the view, as one was of the livingroom was mostly a glass door, leading out to their deck that had a waterfront view.
Henrik looked outside in awe, making his way to the doors as everyone began to explore and call dibs on their rooms. Hee didn't notice that his mouth was a bit agape, completely blown away.
The sudden bump startled Noire. She turned around to view Lucina, and her eyes met down to her height. “A-Ah! Don’t apologize, Princess! That was all my doing...Are you all right..?” She dawned a party hat, much to her dismay. Out of all places, Noire really didn’t want to be at the festival. It made her anxious.
Lucina smiled reassuringly at Noire as she looked up at the archer. “Do not fret Noire, it’s quite all right. You are not hurt yourself, correct? I know I may be lacking in height but I do tend to bump into things and as you can tell from training, it usually ends in something being broken.” She chuckles softly. The princess then notices the party hat atop of Noire’s head and how visibly shaken she was. Perhaps the crowds of the festival were too much for her? Lucina has known Noire since childhood, and even as a child Noire was often rather meek and soft spoken. “I see you have a hat as well. I don’t think it would suit me and plus my tiara is already on my head, but it looks very cute on you.” She nods, trying to help ease her friend.
Lucina was never really one who took breaks. In fact, the only reason she was at the moment was because she was pushed to take one. She much rather spend time training, as every moment was precious and needed to save this timeline from the impending doom that her Ylisse suffered from in the distant future. None the less, the princess was here at the Harvest festival after being nagged by various friends and family to take some time off. She might as well make the most of this
As soon as she entered the festival grounds she was immediately offered a party hat, and sheepishly accepted it. As she walked deeper in, she examined the hat further. It was a bit surreal seeing one since had not seen such a hat since she was a child when the world wasn’t bleak and on the edge of destruction. “Would this even look good on me? I’m most certain this would fit someone more cutesy like Auntie Lissa...” Lucina mumbles herself.
Suddenly, her thoughts are halted as she finds herself, bumping right into someone else, nearly tumbling down to the ground by the force. “Ah! Are you okay? Forgive me, I was lost in my thoughts and not looking where I was-... oh Noire! I didn’t know you were attending this festival, hope the day is treating you well.” She greets with a soft smile.
It was currently 3 in the afternoon and Sakura had spent that day cooped up in her dorm room. What was she doing? Well, it would come to no surprise that the answer would be studying for her exam. The pinkette was currently in her cooped up in her dorm, laying on her equally pink bed-sheets with a book gingerly placed on her laps, her folded legs holding it up. She had been in that position for hours now, perhaps days as no one had heard of her for that entire weekend. The only times she would escape the position she was trapped in were for bathroom breaks and to get food. Those few times she would have to hide her face as her eye bags were currently the most noticeable features on her face.
With a lick of her finger, she grapsed the edge of the page, turning it, her emerald eyes scanning it’s contents. Out of curiosity, she placed her left index finger on the page, the other hand beginning to swat through the pages only stopping short when she found the end of the chapter. They had to be kidding. 30 pages were still left to be read and she had already burned her brain out only moments before. With a groan, Sakura took one of her plush toys, holding it against her face and groaning in frustration. Her entire body fell back onto the bed with a creak and small bounce. She enjoyed studying, don’t get her wrong but, 3 chapters each not even 30 pages long was too much for her brain to handle. Not even her giant forehead could store that much information is such a short amount of time.
Getting up once more, she grabbed her highlighter and pencil, adjusting the notebook next to her back at a comfortable angle for writing. As she was about to get into her studying again, a knock on her door interrupted her. Turning her head towrds the door, she tilted her head in curiosity. Had they finally started to worry if she was alive? Even just thinking that, made Sakura scoff, of course not, why would they? She gently shoved her school materials aside, and began to walk towards the door.
The knocking began to grow more in amounts and she could feel a small vein beginning to pop on her forehead. “I’m going already geesh!” She spoke, stretching her arms. Once she reached the door, she looked at who it was knocking her property (loudly might she add) and was not surprised to see her blonde best friend standing there. Well, if anyone was to worry about her disappearance, she could count on her.
“Oh it’s just you pig.” She spoke, her eyes showing no signs of surprise as she leaned on her doorway. “What do you want?” Althought her words held a slight tinge of annoyance, she was genuinely happy to see civilization again. At least now she had something to take her mind out of the books she had been reading continuously in what seemed to be no end.
