This is such a solid detail of the upcoming Solo movie. When Han gets the Falcon, it’s new, pristine, it’s like something you’d see in the prequel era (which I guess technically it is.) It’s far from the “Piece of Junk.” Luke describes it as upon first seeing it. In that same scene, Han tells Luke he’s made a lot of special modifications to the ship. Han is a smuggler. He’s stripped the floors and replaced it with floor-plates that can be used for smuggling. He’s sacrificed the cosmetics of his ship for practicality. Things have been rewired and modified to truly become Han’s ship.
