WHO: Hunter & Sebastian
WHEN: Sometime before prom
WHERE: Sebastian’s Apartment
WHAT: Sebastian has a clever way of asking Hunter to prom
WARNINGS: Pretty safe...Seb dances in his underwear, but that’s it, really. This would have been posted sooner had I remembered I was the one who saved the para.
Sebastian waited for Hunter to get to his apartment. He had left the door unlocked so he didn't have to open it for the other, yelling at him to come in when he did hear the knock on the door. With McKinley's prom coming up, Sebastian wanted a way to ask Hunter to it. After planning it out, he found his old blazer, pulling it on over his undershirt with his tie and then put on a pair of Dalton colored briefs, ready for when Hunter got there. When the other walked in, Sebastian just grinned at him, telling him to have a seat on the edge of the bed.
Hunter knew he could make it through the rest of the week but the final he'd just taken had worn him out. Everything hurt from head to toe but he knew being able to sit down and relax would fix that pretty quickly. When he saw Sebastian.... it was enough for his eyes to light up and his smile to go the slightest bit crooked. "Well aren't you a sight for sore eyes, 'Bastian." He avoided the instructions long enough to lean in for a proper kiss but as soon as he'd had his fill Hunter settled back on the bed to watch this very, very unexpected surprise.
Sebastian kissed Hunter back happily, smiling against his lips for a moment, watching the other as he sat down. "I wanted to surprise you," he smirked gently, winking at the other before launching into Hunter's routine for Whistle. He remembered the choreography easily, singing and dancing his heart out in front of the other. Towards the end of the song, he went into his closet, pulling out two tuxes as he sang the last 'Can you blow my whistle baby as "Will you go to prom with me?"
Hunter leaned back on the bed to enjoy the show. He loved Sebastian's voice so much - left this silky feeling in his stomach he just couldn't explain - and his choreography definitely spoke of years of training in yet, years of competing in it. The song was one he knew so well and Hunter lit up as the memory filtered through. Prom was the last thing he'd expected if he was being honest but after a show like that who was he to say no? "I would be delighted babe." He was laughing at the originality but when he brought Sebastian down into another kiss it was anything but laughing.
Sebastian honestly missed performing a lot. It was something that he used to love doing so much, but hadn't gotten the chance to now that he was so busy. He never really understood the whole excitement and appeal about prom, but it was a chance to go with someone he wanted to go with and it was an excuse to put on a whole routine for Hunter. Chuckling softly, he sat the tuxes down so that he could properly wrap his arms around Hunter. "Aren't you proud of me for remembering all of that?"
Hunter couldn't believe Sebastian had even gone to the extent of getting tuxes for them, but he chuckled a little because Sebastian had to know that he'd have been a fool to say no. "Yes. Yes I am. How long did you practice that in the mirror?" He teased, hands going up to Sebastian's face and drawing him in even further, careful not to crush the tuxes as he deepened the kiss. "Mmm the thought of kissing you got me through today's final, but this was like a cherry on top. Is one of the tuxes for me?"
Sebastian didn't have a very special prom back in high school, so he wanted to do it right this time. "Hours," he teased back, kissing him against with a wide smile on his face. "How did your last final go?" He asked, moving to put the tuxes to the side so they didn't get crushed. "I'm glad I was able to surprise you," he grinned, plopping down on Hunter's lap. "No. I just wanted two options for myself," he laughed, shaking his head. "Of course one is for you, you silly."
Hunter imagined him for a moment, using the hairbrush as a microphone like a teenage girl, and he couldn't deny that the image was... amusing, but in a sweet way. "Got a 96. Bet it's because you're my good luck charm, babe." One hand dragged down Sebastian's neck, around to the base of his neck where he toyed with the hairs there, other hand going down to hold him in place. "Did you have to go hunting when I wasn't paying attention to get my measurements? That means corsages are on me."
Sebastian beamed at him. "I knew you could do it. Now we get to celebrate you being done. Me graduating soon, and then we go to Disney! Speaking of graduating soon, you're coming to California with me to watch me walk across the stage, right? It's actually the morning of prom, but we can be back in time," he shrugged. "My parent's can't even stay longer than to see me right after it's over and then they're off to something else," he chuckled, leaning against Hunter, nodding. "I had to look when you left for classes and I was going into work late."
Hunter laughed a little at how much the question didn't actually sound like a question. "Of course I am. Just need to make sure we keep the time zones in mind and get back in time to go to dinner beforehand. If we're doing the prom experience we're doing it right. Speaking of. You picking me up at my front door?" The smile was cheeky, but definitely genuine, and he let the kisses stave off enough to focus on the conversation. "I'm glad they can at least make it for that. I'm surprised you managed to make the timing work but I am suitably impressed."
Sebastian wouldn't force Hunter to be there, but he did like the idea of Hunter being at his graduation so there was someone there who actually wanted to be there with him. "I will make sure we're back in time. We'll leave right after graduation to head back and we should be back in time, I believe," he nodded, smiling. "I'll be at you door dressed in a tux. which means I'll have to leave your house before coming back to pick you up," he smiled. "I'm glad they'll be there for some of it," he nodded. "Better than not being there at all," he smiled softly. "I did what I could. I wanted it to be special."
Hunter just beamed at Sebastian, leaning in once more to steal kisses that were thankfully far from fleeting. He'd become so attuned to affection that he was giving it and asking for it much more readily. "I wouldn't miss it, babe. Just want to figure out timing so we can plan it perfectly." The idea of Sebastian dressed up so fancy was... little pulse-racing if he was being honest. "That feels like teenage levels of sneaky. In the good way. The kind of way that made everything more exciting." Something about the way he talked about his parents tugged at Hunter and he didn't know quite how to handle it. "They're proud of you, baby. So am I."
