i vote that sam gets a big old greying dog whose head comes up to sam’s waist and who limps a little because of a busted paw with coarse long fur and those old-dog sores all over its body and big sad droopy eyes filled with gunk in the corners and one look has dean saying “that is the ugliest goddamn dog i’ve ever seen” and i vote that the dog follows sam everywhere and lies down on his feet when he’s standing still so that sam’s constantly tripping over it and that it sheds like crazy in the spring and fall so sam has to take it ouside for hours just to brush it and that it slobbers all over the floor after drinking water and i also vote that it headbutts sam’s hip when it wants to be pet and curls up on the couch when the boys are watching tv and sleeps at the foot of sam’s bed always on the lookout for intruders i vote that it’s endlessly loyal and loving and i vote that sam and dean love it with their entire hearts. but that’s just me idk
