Hello! Welcome to Kit’s Shrine and home within UnderShrine, a Undertale AU, a world of Spirits and wishes influenced heavily by Japanese culture and mythology with my own lore mixed in. This blog is meant for RP and world building of UnderShrine and it's characters. UnderShrine Origin

Long ago, in an age of magic and spirits, two races ruled over Earth and it’s power: Humans and Monsters.

Monsters were once in charge of helping Spirits both Human and Monster alike move on to the next world. Many would linger, if due to unresolved business, grudges, or curses. Monsters could help them with these issues and move on peacefully.

There were select humans that could also access powers needed to perform these duties. Priests, monks, sages, mediums, etc. They went by many names, but Monsters knew them simply as Mages. The powers were that of the Soul. Created by everyone’s hopes, dreams and wishes.

In truth most of the world ambient magic was generated by Human’s and their strong desires but Monsters were more in tune with the Spirits and Souls of the passed. Mages were quite powerful but they were few and some struggled to reach their full potential. This caused a great jealousy to grow in their hearts. They came together and through trickery and betrayal they locked all of monster kind Underground.

Or so they thought.

Thank you all for the well wishes towards my move to Sweden! I realized there was some misunderstanding about my web shop and people have been panicking. All the prints, artbooks, koi lanterns, etc will still be sold as before. The only items that were discontinued were wall scrolls and tote bags. This is because my shipping assistant is still based in the US, so she can still ship small things like prints from her house, but there was no space for big items like wall scrolls. I do have plans to ship some stuff from the both the EU and the US in the future, but right now I'm just trying to get myself settled first before worrying about the shop. We just got a microwave today and I'm so happy to eat warm food again 😭 Another common question people had was about what airline allowed me to fly with my dogs. I used K9 Jets, which is a chartered flight where dog lovers pool together enough funds to book a plane to fly their dogs in the cabin. My dogs are family and I don't want to risk them getting hurt or worse if they got treated like luggage and thrown into the cargo by a regular airline. The plane was pretty small and the ride was very bumpy (I threw up twice 😭) and crowded, but my babies are safe and that's all that matters. I heard there is also Bark Air that offers a similar service but they didn't have flights from my location. I hope that helps for other dog lovers who want to travel safely with their floof family!

The Fox Fairy/Spirit has a lot of variations throughout East Asia. I chose to base mine off the Huli Jing, and Tang dynasty dress. The shapeshifting, predominately female nine tailed fox also takes the form of a Kistune in Japan and Kumiho in Korea.

One of my favourite interpretations of this being is Good Hunting, the short story by Ken Liu (though not the Love, Death, and Robots inspired short animation! :( )
