i wrote something from the pov of river, very personal to me and from my soul but a lot of it is how i would characterize hir

tw for pseudo graphic self harm? its one instance and its not really described in too much detail. i wanted to do more with it but by that point i had done what i wanted to do.

I'm thinking a lot about A River, Eden and Kat and the things I do and don't like about their existing articles, and I think the big one is that it doesn't exactly feel like the most interesting part of their relationship (the polyamory) is really focused on in any sort of interesting way, it's largely just something used to turn Kat into the Nostalgi Gaius Torture Goblin.

Eden's page is all about torturing Kat, all of the other pages about the trio are about torturing Kat, yet its heavily implied that they had something and River fusing with Nostalgi Gaius ruined it in a "longing forever" sort of way. And I'm fine with Eden being touched by Gaius in some sense, but I don't like how the articles use it to just have Eden fuck with Kat. I think, at least in my personal canon that I might write about, maybe it's possible for the three to be together. Maybe, with whatever mechanism happened to River, and whatever happened to Eden (which I'm not super hot on, and I think I would change it myself) they could be together as Gaius.

I've seen some interpretations of River!Gaius/Symmetria which have parts of Gaius' stone body taken up by flesh, being River's, and I think that's really interesting and makes me think "what if Gaius is incomplete?" but not in the pantheon sense, but in the sense of being shown True Love. Nostalgi Gaius doesn't love, in the same way that we do. Nostalgi Gaius longs for the concept of love, and for something that never existed, but she doesn't truly understand it. Maybe, the three of them could fuse together completely one day. Gaius maybe even still being in there, but much more docile, visibly more Human, a true unity of three lovers.

I’m going to my favourite Medieval Festival for the last time in a few weeks, and since I’m going by myself (I’m passing through the town on my way out of the state forever) I’m thinking of doing what @claraofthepen did with the antique store, and finding things at said festival that I think all my mutuals would like!

Whether it be food, art, a tournament, activities, jewellery, swords, Weird Things™️, the local wizard and dragon or something else for sale, I’ll take a photo and tag the mutual it reminds me most of! That way you guys are coming along to the festival with me! :D
