I don't vibe with most "Reigen adopts Teru" fics for characterization reasons but I also think y'all are wildly underselling the Stupid Drama inherent in a household of:
A boy who canonically develops multi-day psychosomatic fevers if he loses a fight
A man who became falling-down get-sick-in-an-alley drunk on nothing but lemonade and self-loathing
