I love her too!!! And she should indeed be given her bowtie back, though it would probably have to be a replica of the original, given everything that happened. Mepad's white one still existing in the finale after MeLife gets shut down is questionable at best but Mepad needed to have the aura in his entrance so I allow it.

They are called hostesses!! Though, as the episode somewhat suggests, I do question the effectiveness of teaching Taco to be nice and treat people well by... giving her a customer service job. Not sure what kind of work experience you may have, but allow me to inform you that customer service jobs do NOT make you want to be nice and polite to people. Frankly this job could easily make Taco worse. I liked seeing her being friendly with Soap and seeking her reassurance, though!

Robert "Lucky" Hugh Leckie Research Part 21:

A quick shout out to my friend who helped me with the acronyms! And yes, this is a LONG post.

Alrighty, next on the military file for Robert Leckie- his time in the service! Here are the classifications he gained- if you have read his memoir, you might remember him becoming the company clerk for a short time- it made it here!

A quick overview of his service- we'll have the more detailed one later. I can track everything. The reclassified likely meant his MOS (Military occupational specialty) was formally changed- right after he got wounded btw in Peleliu. The acronym in red could mean "a circular from Marine Corps headquarters, possibly the administrative order that authorized or directed the reclassification." (My friend's best guess). They also explained a little bit more about police duty vs MP- quote, "“Police Duty” in the Marine Corps context doesn’t necessarily mean Military Police specifically. It could mean he was assigned to general base policing functions — maintaining order, gate duty, that kind of thing — rather than being a full MP with investigative authority. Marine Barracks Quantico in late 1945 would have been processing enormous numbers of men out, so a lot of personnel were being plugged into whatever administrative and security gaps needed filling while the demobilization machinery ground through its backlog."- their words.

We also have some remarks here- including his sneaking back on the ship with the sentry and Racehorse incident, I think that's what that is.

My friend explained (thank you again girl!!)- that you can get a court martial without a full on-trial, just reduction in rank/pay etc- which is probably why Leckie didn't frame it as a court martial in his memoir.

"DCM - AWOL - DISOBED OF SENTRY: This indicates a District Court Martial (DCM) for being Absent Without Leave (AWOL) and for disobedience of a sentry."-my friend

"RED TO NIR - 15 MAY 43: Means Reduced to Non-Commissioned (or No) Infantry Rank — essentially a demotion."-my friend

Now- a little more detailed service history. You'll see what I think is his hospital trip- either malaria or the enuresis? gotta double check on that one.

lucas was totally in the right for being weirded out by el! a girl appears in the woods and she can move things with her mind the night after your bsf goes missing???? thats so weird! lucas was like the only sane one for being cautious around her! i wouldn't like her either! how was he supposed to know if she was somehow involved with wills disappearence? ESPECIALLY after she made the compasses not work? he had every right to say ok weirdo 🙄 and then focus back on will. GET THIS INTO YOUR DENSE HEADS!?!?!? sorry for that last bit. the demons.
