I struggle to put this into words after such a long time of not talking about Tony, but - you know what keeps me interested in him? As a person, but also as a hero? That one trait, that one least talked about but most important quality a hero should have?

Kindness.

Tony is such a kind person that it makes me mushy and makes my eyes water, - and it's not only him, but every hero that possesses this. To be treated so badly, to have your softness crushed and beat and bled dry, but instead of rotting away, instead of becoming just as bad or as worse as your hurt, you flourish?

And its not something perfect. It's not something that always shines through. Tony is kind in a quiet way, almost in secrecy. Because he wasn't raised to see kindness as a strength, but as a shame. But nevertheless, he still is.

I don't really know where I'm going with this. Just that goodness is a choice. It's not something you're born with, or something given to you, It's simply a thing you nurture everyday because you can. The world may be cruel but you don't have have be crueller to be strong. And Tony strongly reminds me of this
