“Glad to see you’re alive and well.” Though his tone was flippant, it lacked the same frivolousness that Spencer so often used around her. There was some gravity to his statements given that he was in fact grateful that she was alright. There were few he actually bothered for around town, but he could safely say that Sullivan likely fell into the category that he could say he bothered at least a little for. He had seen her that day, inside with him but in trying to get the rest of the crowds out, he ended up losing track and assumed that she had found her own way out.

“I’m surprised to see you in something other than your biking attire. I always assumed you had been born with those clothes.” It was his way of telling her that she looked nice without saying it in so many words. Because the nature of their relationship was as such. Of course it wouldn’t be him if he didn’t flatter, though perhaps his condescending tone would take away from the truth of the words. “You aren’t planning on causing any trouble tonight are you?” A question that people really should have been asking him since it appeared he would be the one causing the problems that night.
