Hewwo , can we get " Balter " for Sieglizzy 👉👈👀🌷 ?
balter - to dance gracelessly, but with enjoyment
Sieglinde had stared on depressingly all throughout the seasonal ball at her friend, Ciel Phantomhive's lovely manor. Or normal occasions of outings, human watching and observing was fun to the young scientist. But, well..
Being surrounded by so many older, noble, English people had the young German groaning, especially as not a single one was any of her friends!
And then just as she was arguing with herself over requesting to Wolf that they pardon themselves, her butler himself came over and gently nudged her, then wordlessly pointed over, across along the left side, all the way near one of the entry ways to the hall beyond, was the Earl himself meeting up with a lovely sight that perked the young scientist right up, and she herself saw fit to get going and go greet the Earl's fiancee too!
And then, even before she spoke, Elizabeth's big emerald eyes glimpsed the sitting young girl rolling up and her face lit up further!!
"Siggy! Oh I'm so glad you're here too!!"
She dove down to throw her arms around the other girl, no hesitation what-so-ever.
Sieglinde for her part just grinned the most she had all day and all night, patting Lizzy's back amiably.
"And I you, Lizzy! It is so terribly dull here in all honesty-- No offense, Ciel --without more familiar faces to see!"
"Oh my word," Lizzy huffed, straightening and putting hands on hips.
She whirled about to eye her fiance fiercely.
"Ciel, did you just leave Siggy by her lonesome?? How could you!"
"Er- I- well, it's not as if I--"
But the earl's betrothed waved her hand as if his stammers were mere smoke, as she made a disgruntled face.
"Oh, I'm not bothering to listen to any excuse you hand, come then Siggy! You'll be my first dancing partner this evening!"
Everyone's eyes, including the other girl's themselves, went wide at this proposition.
"Ah, as much as I'd love to dance, Lizzy, if you've forgotten at some point, you see I'm--"
"You can dance, Siggy! I'll show you!" Lizzy insisted in that outlandishly stubborn way of hers, and proceeded to grab the girl's hands, then looked up while still holding them at the towering German butler of Sieglinde's, who'd blinked and shifted about, absolutely confused.
"Push the chair, now, Wolfram, c'mon!"
And like this, the three made it out a bit further among the dancers, who'd smartened up enough to move out of the way and give them a little more room.
"L-Lizzy..." Sieglinde found herself hissing out, looking around. "Th-this is absolutely ridiculous.. Wh-what will these people even think of you attempting something like--"
"Shh, it doesn't matter, Siggy." Lizzy said as she drew close, wrapped one of her arms under the other girl's arm, and drew the hands of their other arm further away, in the typical dancing fashion.
Shakingly, the shorter, seated girl put her arm around Lizzy in turn, and then looked up at her questioningly if this was.. okay or not?!
Lizzy beamed, and then looked up once more at Wolfram.
"You will help us dance as gracefully as we can, won't you, Wolfram?"
It sounded much more like a statement than a question, actually.
"Ah- um- W-Well, I will try to, Frau Midford!"
His big hands firmly planted on the wheelchair handles, as if actually readying for a race.
"And... here we go!" Lizzy said softly, confidently, pulling at her German friend's arm, her other squeezing Sieglind's side.
She had to bend a bit to stay connected to the other girl, but she kept going, pulling them along, trust Wolfram to push when needed. And to push carefully and not too much.
At one point, Sieglinde started to giggle, absolutely baffled by her friend's reasoning that this was fun.
Well.. It was technically fun, but, she wasn't sure if it was fun in the same way dancing was supposed to be!
Of course, having no experience with that, she couldn't be certain.
And also from her results in observing the others dance, sometimes the fun that was meant to be involved was forced upon the masses. Or so it appeared.
Meanwhile...
Maybe this unique twist on such a well known thing.. just.. made it more entertaining than one would expect!
"See? I told you! You can dance just as well as me!" Lizzy insisted gaily.
And though this made the youthful German scientist giggle some more, she nodded and tightened her hold firmly on her first and only dancing partner.
