Would You Light My Candle? || Rumbelle || Shelter Prompt
With the electricity going out, Belle was a little weary how she'd handle the night. But, at least she wasn't alone in her tiny apartment, where the shadows seemed to take over most of the walls. Instead, she was in Rumple's house, where it always seemed so much warmer and comforting. With him and Jock to keep her company, Belle was hoping that the darkness wouldn't seem so daunting.
They had found candles, before the night had fallen, and the flickering soft amber glow, filled the living room, in a lovely sort of way. They had both dried from their search for Jock, and the wee pup had been dried and brushed as well. With no power, Belle never made them tea, but did fix them a small plate of crackers and peanut butter, having been told that the fridge would be better off, if it stayed shut.
Setting the plate on the table before the couch, she sat, with Jock jumping up a second later, curling up beside her. Patting the other side of the cushion, Belle beckoned for Rumple to join them.
Lightly streaked across the sky, lighting the room in a brilliant flash of green for a moment, and giving them a hint of just how hard the rain was falling.
