Ai sniffled, rubbing his nose on the back of the sleeve of his school jacket, leaving it red and puffy as he pulled it away. It was a nice day, sun shining, plenty warm enough that he didn’t need to be wearing it, but as he walked towards Iwatobi High School, he tugged at the zipper, pulling it at as high as it would go. He rubbed his arms, fighting back shivers as he made his way around to the pool. He had no idea why he was feeling like this. He had been since last night. But that wasn’t what was important. Right now all that mattered was that Rin asked him to stop by Iwatobi and pick up his jacket he had left there when he was practicing with his friends the other day. Of course Ai was quick to comply.
He made his way towards the pool, not stopping off at the main part of the school. He was just going to be in and out.
Another sniffle, a small cough to clear his throat and he made his way towards the water.
