Tulip: For your birthday, what kind of cake do you ask for?
I don’t really know, I don’t really make a big deal out of my birthday that much, but I usually think of tiramisu as my go-to birthday cake lol
Marigold: Do you listen to what’s on the radio?
Yes, usually to music because our cars are too old to have blue tooth and our aux cord is broken

One thing I always struggle with is maintaining organized binders as the semester really sets in. Any advice? -OfBooksAndBookers
hmmm. this definitely happens to me too.
tip 1: use plastic dividers!! ok i’ll just lay it out in sandwich form. top of the list is top of the binder, yeah? (this is a very general set up, based on my biology binder from freshman year.)
that very front pocket of your binder: assigned homework/stuff you need to be working on
i prefer notebooks to loose leaf paper so, this is where my notebook would go. right on top. i usually just keep it there so it doesn’t get separated from the binder. i take it out in class and when studying.
current assignments/ref pages relevant to the unit.
1st divider. (i don’t usually label them, but do it if you can’t remember what goes in each section)
past assignments/tests in order by date. (put a date on everything !!!)
back of binder. here should be the very first assignment you received.
tip 2: take five minutes at the end of every 1-2 weeks (depending on how messy your binder gets) to organize everything. put homework and classwork you’ve turned in and received back behind the divider (in order!!). toss out irrelevant papers, but ask if you’ll need them in the future first!! even re-order your sections if you need to.
tip 3: organize past work using paperclips. my bio teacher did notebook checks for us a few times each semester. he’d check homework, notes, etc. anyways, for each notebook check it’d put that notebook check’s work in a paperclip (1) so he would know what to look at and (2) for my own reference. he didn’t do this by unit, but it would be helpful that way as well.
tip 4: for english, language, or any other class that requires more than one diver/section, here are some ideas for how to separate/file your papers (i also put them in a general order of what i thought should go at the front and back of the binder).
current assignments/homework
pages relevant to unit/pages you need to reference back to
help pages (ex. conjugations, essay tips, etc.)
past assignments
+any other sections that you decide to put in based on your class.
tip 5: when organizing your binder, make it so that everything you’ll need most often is most accessible. if your class works on a long term project once a month, those papers probably don’t need to be as accessible as your nightly homework assignments.
let me know and i can also do a tutorial on this based on my old/new school binders! i hope this is helpful babe!!
