Gc2b Binders No Longer Reputable
I've been away, so y'all may already be very aware of this, but I want to make sure it's stated on this blog because it's been The Brand for yeeeaaars: the quality of gc2b binders has been going downhill the past few years. People who bought from them prior and recently can attest to how poor the quality has become. The binders are just not the same. The material isn't comfortable and, more importantly, the fit just isn't good. People who've tried recent gc2b binders, even those who've been binding for years, are suffering from back and muscle pain, stiff shoulders, soreness, etc. regardless of fit. The material just doesn't seem to be suitable for binding anymore. It is also degrading really quickly and binders are wearing out in a matter of months. It is no longer worth it to buy from gc2b.
If you want some sources on this, check out the reviews here on trustpilot with people talking about this.
You'll want to keep your eye on brands that are still doing good work: Spectrum Outfitters (UK), For Them (seems to be a hate it or love it company; I know some who swear by them and others who feel they dont' really sell actual binders - just sports bras/lighter compression tops), Shapeshifters (good custom work and larger sizing), and Underworks (best budget brand).
gregg teaches mae about binders
Heyo! Dorian Gay on youtube made a compressionless binder tutorial, and at the end of the video he asked people to spread the video around so more transmascs could "bind" safely and alleviate dysphoria. You have a way larger platform than I do, so I thought I would let you know the video exists so your followers could look at the video if they needed it. I don't think I can stick links in here, but it's his most recent video
Neat! The video showed up in my youtube suggestions before I got around to answering this ask, so it's nice that it seems to be getting a good bit of traction.
My master list
I run a blog that recommends the best methods for things like tucking packing binding and padding/stuffing menstrual care and more, I also try to spread general safety resources for anyone who needs it. And I add more information as I learn new things.
The plan is to put links for all my recommendations then have a link to another post that explains things like instructions, safety, and how to wash and care for and alter what I recommend. (my intro post is linked here, I want to keep the master list pinned instead of it and one more thing) Why don’t I have a DNI?
And I’m always open for questions or requests, I’ll do specific research on any items you ask about to answer whatever questions anyone sends. I take both asks and DMs, its what this blog is here for.
status: everythings updated :) my grammar is messy but i did my best, ill probably be going back and fixing grammar at some point later maybe. (updated as in everything i wanted to put here, is here but that only off the knowledge i already had. like i said if i learn something or get more resources for something im missing ill add it.)
1. News. for keeping up with news about people who are affected by gender/presentation/sex/sex variation discrimination in the states Erin in the Morning(this is who i got these three news links from i recommend subscribing to Erin in the Morning theres a option for a free subscribtion) Anti-Trans National Risk Assessment Map: 2026 February Edition(the most updated anti gender/sex/presentation national risk map breaks down each states safety. the anti trans is just the name, i acknowledge this isn't accurate and this affects many more people) LGBTQ+ Legistlative Tracking 2025(tracking all the anti queer bills) Transgender Healthcare "Shield" Laws(sheild states that promise to protect trans people. again it shouldnt just be trans people here) where to get HRT USA map (informed consent) good news lists 1.notes

5. silicone adhesives for prosthetics wig tape(walkers ultra hold. i don't have a link for this, check shops near you or online stores. walker doesn't sell this directly to people. if you don't use the walker brand remember you need something with extra strength to be the equivalent to ultra hold) and Uni-solve adhesive remover for the remover wipes youll need to check online stores for that one (if you cant get this a hair dryer on high heat low blast works to loosen the adhesive so you can get it off safely or a hot shower) information

sex ed blogs(real accurate sex ed, as in intersex inclusive) comprehensive sex ed, dhddmods(is back) sex characteristics and genitalia variations rundown whats igm/ how to check yourself for it list of sex surgeries (reconstructive, constructive, sex reassignment etc are all under this) where to ask questions and unpack negative sterotypes about peoples sex this is one of my favorites when it comes to 101 of gender and sex some things to keep in mind while youre going through all this sex binaries are bad no matter how you slice it even if theyre degendered. and its up to people to label themselves, people cant force labels on you or force information out of you, and at the same time you cant transition into being intersex because its a sex situation youre born with. at the same time pretending like everyone who has x and started as y is z is not the move to make. and everyone is oppressed under patriarchy and everyone has a word to describe their feelings, misandry isnt a incel word they stole it and warped it just like how radfems stole and warped feminism and misogyny, but it doesnt make any of it theirs. lastly anyone can be any kind of bigoted being any gender or anything, doesnt make you more or less likely to hurt anyone or be hurt by someone specific, there are so many people in this world and so many ways to think you cant generalize groups and assume one is safer and these others are unsafe based on factors people cant control. and of course never threaten anyone or drag things out when someone is trying to harass you the safest thing to do is to just report and block and move on. i have complicated feelings about some of these guides and "this-is" blogs because a lot of what i listed out isnt acknowledged or ever taken seriously but they still do hold the most updated guides so just tread carefully and its the same way the other way around too my resources are open to everyone as long as you dont start harassing me or my followers or anons etc
blogs I like about mostly bugs and fish and art onenicebugperday, marinebiology1, snoopyoftheday, herpsandbirds, mammalianmammals, stickyfrogs, uncharismatic-fauna, bugposting, sealsdaily, bugthingsdaily, fishthingdaily, isopawds, maggotmuncher0, amingledyarn

no idea where my work out links went?? take this this and this there you go heres a proper guide
remember it’s important to balance out the things you have to put up with for safety with stuff you like art or animals or anything else
heyo just a psa: gc2b is not safe anymore. old binders from them are fine but new ones are way lower quality and will almost certainly mess up your ribs (think warping or breaks). don't get binders from amazon because they also tend to be dangerous. underworks seems to have maintained their good ratings, so if you need a binder consider going with them, and remember to always do your own research :D
The FDA is sending binder manufacturers cease and desist statements. Companies like TomboyX are being targeted, though they reassure that they have an awesome team of lawyers and plan to sue. Do not panic, but do spread the word.
