I’d love to hear your thoughts on my fav competing theories, that Denna’s secret patron Ash is actually training her to be an Amyr versus Ash being Cinder (either way I think it’s Bredon, just maybe that’s a disguise)
It’s Cinder, 100%. No one but Doors of Stone could convince me otherwise.
Consider Kvothe’s naming skills. Like, the horse he gets he accidentally gives an accurate name. Once is a coincidence, but another mistranslation allows him to give Auri the perfect name. SOOOOOOO when Kvothe is trying to find a name to call her patron, he calls him Ash, which is a synonym for Cinder (loll #cinderella reference) (cause cinder by marrissa meyer and ash by malinda lo???? anyone??) Like, WHOAAAAA
AND!!!! Think about what The Name of the Wind means. It may seem like it is what do we call the wind, which is there and implied BUT couldn’t it also mean the name that the WIND that blew the ash leave into Kvothe’s mouth to name Denna’s patron???
As for Bredon, I need to reread his sections with that in mind to see it cause it’s been a hot sec. And the Amyr one seems like stretching to me.
