“ What are you doing? I see you everywhere writing in this little book. ”
Caught somewhat off guard, the young druid very nearly slammed shut the booklet clutched in her fingers out of reflex. Amber eyes darted up in search of the one who had addressed her, and to her credit they widened only a fraction in surprise of the other’s appearance. The woman could only be described as luminous with her hair, eyes, and complexion, and although Rhaya did a fantastic job of not openly gawking, she did freeze in place a few seconds longer than the situation warranted as if stunlocked by the woman’s radiant appearance. “Ah, well, I’m trying to get a better idea of the city’s layout,” she stammered. Not as eloquent as she would have liked, but another pat on the back for not relaying her true intentions. She very well couldn’t say ‘Casing the joint’, which was the first thing that had sprung to mind – Not that the crew of the Drunken Calamity were planning a heist or any particularly nefarious activities, mind you, but it never hurt to be prepared and know your surroundings. “See?” she prompted after another moment, clearing her throat to gain more traction in the conversations. With a flick she popped open a relatively safe page of notes and flipped the book around to show the other, stepping closer so she could read her small, looping handwriting. “So are you from around here?”
