Ways An Early Morning Workout Can Work For You.
Rise and shine! Even though it's tough to get out of that comfy, cozy bed in the morning, an early morning workout can be just what you need to get energized for the rest of your day. Need some more motivation?
Here are 5 ways that a workout in the morning can benefit you:
You are free for the rest of the day to do what you want. There will be no more stressing about when you can fit in a workout in your busy day because you'll have all ready done it.
It will set you up to eat healthier throughout the day. You don't want to negate all the good you just did exercising with a nasty, greasy cheeseburger, right?
It puts you in a good mood. Exercise boosts your endorphins making you feel great for the rest of your day. You'll also feel a sense of accomplishment by completing a workout when you'd usually be sleeping.
It may help you lose more fat: Exercising before breakfast takes advantage of your low blood sugar in the morning, allowing you to tap into stored fat reserves easier. But, if you're doing a high intensity workout or working out for longer than one hour, eat breakfast first or you could tap into your protein reserves, sacrificing your hard earned muscles.
It may be less toxic. Experts believe that toxin levels in the air are lower during the morning than later in the day. So all that huffing and puffing you're doing while out for your jog will be less toxic in the morning than if you waited until after work.
Pretty interesting, huh? I know I definitely enjoy getting my workout out of the way in the morning. Once I get it done, I always feel accomplished and have a happier outlook on what the day will bring. When do you work out? Will you give it a try in the A.M.?
