Yeah, you really do! The costumes look really good on everyone.

Citron 

The studio is different from what we usually use. I really feel like I’ve been pulled into the gymnasium world~!

Guy 

Yes, the atmosphere really gives off that feeling.

Staff 

We designed the studio like the gymnasium classroom. So then, let’s begin the shoot! First off let’s start with taking photos of the characters that have the deepest connections, then we’ll move onto the solo shots. So then, let’s start off with Minagi and Takato.

Tasuku

What’s the featured theme this time?

Izumi 

The theme is “Gymnasium”.

Gymnasium..

Guy 

A while back Mikage and Tsukioka were tour guides around a doll exhibition.

Izumi 

Yep, that’s what I’m talking about! Not too long ago “VELUDO” did a doll themed feature. If I recall one of Homare’s doll-making friends read the article and was inspired by it.

Kazunari 

Yeah, Azu and Yukkii looked so good on the cover!

Citron 

Oh yeah, I remember seeing that feature!

Izumi 

Yes, and since they are going to have a solo exhibition, they were hoping that they could have some members of our troupe as tour guides. Homare’s acquaintance even went as far as to ask the editorial department of "VELUDO" directly if they would do a feature on us this time.

Taichi 

Ask them directly? Woah what passion!

Izumi 

Hehe, the staff was also a little unsure since they had just done a doll feature, but seeing such enthusiasm eventually won them over.

Guy 

So then, why ask for us?

Izumi 

It was a request from the doll maker. The feature is set to be the same as the last one, only this time the setting will be students in a gymnasium。 He thought the theme suited these members of MANKAI Company.

Tsuzuru

Izumi 

… So with that said, what do you guys think?

Tasuku 

I don't know if I'd fit into something like a gym uniform...

Izumi 

I am sure they will be mindful not to make the costumes too tight.

Tasuku 

I see… Well, then I guess I won’t have to worry about that.

The “VELUDO” features always feel fresh, it’s an experience a little different from an ordinary performance!

Kazunari 

True dat! Plus, we’re twins this time!

Taichi 

I’m mega excited!

Tsuzuru 

Takato is playing the part of a delinquent.

Tasuku 

Yeah… At first glance I felt like the character was just a delinquent who was capable of small acts of kindness here and there, but taking another stance, the character seems like he’s actually a kind person. And you will be playing the class president.

Tsuzuru 

That’s right. To be honest I think it’ll be pretty hard playing a fierce leader type of guy...

Tasuku 

I think it’s up to interpretation, but I think the character seems like a dude with a strong core.

Tsuzuru 

That’s true… Considering what you said, I think my view on the character has changed a bit.

Citron 

Hey Guy, gimme a more melancholy look! Gaze into the distance!

Guy

Citron 

Ohh, much better.

Tsuzuru 

What are you making Guy do now, Citron?

Citron 

I’m making him into a more dramatic actor! I wanna bring out his full potential.

Kazunari 

Guyguy, your character was supposed to be serious but a little aloof, right?

Guy 

Yes, that's right.

Citron 

I’m playing Guy’s childhood friend, so I am just looking at the little details.

Tasuku 

So it serves as role-building, too.

Tsuzuru 

Well, you’re playing the energetic classmate this time, so I think you've already got the energy for the part.

Taichi 

Right! Almost no different from everyday Citron!

Tsuzuru

Guy 

Yes, correct.

Tsuzuru 

Nice!

Guy 

Is it too much to study Zahran while you’re already busy with university work?

Tsuzuru 

Not at all. With you as my tutor, taking this time to study is actually quite freeing. Besides, it was frustrating hearing Zahran and not knowing the language. As I learn more and more, I find myself having to focus less about trying to think of words to say.

Guy 

I see. That is good to hear.

Tsuzuru 

I’m the one who should be apologising for taking you away from your plans.

Guy 

Like I said before, I am more than happy to teach you my language and I am happy you want to learn. Tutoring you is not a burden at all.

Tsuzuru 

Thank you so much. You know, ever since I’ve started learning Zahran we’ve been hanging out more. Between these study sessions and preparation for Gymnasium.

Guy 

That is true. I did not expect to be playing  the part of a student in the gymnasium performance. It’s quite a refreshing feeling.

Tsuzuru 

Haha, very true. It is rare to see you taking the part of a student.

Guy 

Yes...

Tsuzuru 

… By the way, Guy, there really is something you are concerned about regarding the play, right?

Guy 

Something I am concerned about?

Tsuzuru 

Ah, I mean, it's okay if there's nothing, but... you seemed concerned earlier.

It is nothing serious, but... As an adult, I do worry a little about my ability to portray a student character.

Tsuzuru 

So that's it… From what I’ve observed in practice, though, you make a pretty convincing student. Well, I guess it does help that our practices are pretty lively. It makes me feel like we’re all students in the same class.

Guy 

True, I will admit I felt a little different at practice. I suppose that is this feeling of camaraderie.

Yo Guy, you’re going to make your students fall on their heads with all of that awful gasping!

Tsuzuru  

Not gasping, CLAPPING. Why are you barging in all of a sudden?!

Citron  

I wanted to visit the lounge, and that’s when I heard this awful clapping. It’s terrible.

You’re going to be a second-rate teacher if this is what you’re bringing to the lesson.

Tsuzuru  

So you came here to fling insults. Great. Just. Great.

Izumi 

Do you really think that? I thought he was off to a good start.

Citron  

Nooo nooo, you’re being too nice!

You call THAT clapping? You need to move your hands more, make bigger movements, or else no one is gonna hear you!

Guy

Citron

My highest priority is finding good command over the fundamentals of dance.

That’s right, you’re playing the role of a dance instructor.

Correct. If I am to be a teacher, I should at the very least be able to execute the basics without struggle.

It’s difficult to pin down.

Izumi  

(Now that he mentions it, I can understand the intense focus from before. But wow, Guy makes for a perfect teacher role, even if it’s tough to master.)

Guy  

I’ve just had a realization. I cannot sit here and spend all my time watching videos.

Tsuzuru  

From the looks of it, aren’t you forgetting the hand movements?

Guy  

What do you mean?

Tsuzuru  

When you’re trying to imitate a specific style, you have to start by looking at the big picture. Details are important too, but they come after you understand the most basic things. 

This applies to gestures and even manners of speaking. Start with what you can replicate yourself, then hone in on the details… Something like that?

Guy  

I see. I will start with the bigger picture.

In the video I was watching, the instructor was clapping his hands to the beat. I suppose that means I should start with clapping... I think.

Izumi  

Yeah, you got it. I think that’s a wonderful place to start.

Guy  

Hmm, something like this?

Tsuzuru  

Ohh, nice!

Izumi  

(Wow… Guy just radiates dignity.)
