btw if other Korra fans head into 7 Havens already hating it because it "ruined the universe" you're all dead to me because that's exactly how people headed into watching tlok.

almost certainly there's not this level of detailed production info out yet, but does anyone know who's doing the martial arts choreography/direction for Avatar 7 Havens....?
It is completely insane to be an avatar fan in 2025 tbh. I rediscovered the series through "rewrite" videos of The Legend of Korra in 2021 and back then, aside from the comics and novels, everything felt done and concluded. Now, four years later, there's more and more and more. And more.
An avatar role play game? Here you go
An avatar movie (but like good, hopefully)? Why not.
A real life adaptation of ATLA? A bit controversial but yeah.
A NEW FREAKING SERIES? IMPOSSIBLE.
So... I said I don't have an opinion on A7H, and I didn't. I don't actually care about it but I've been doom scrolling the atla tag just now and that got me thinking. People are dead set on Korra being the cause of the cataclysm but what if ... y'know... it wasn't?
So, I've been thinking about how this could have happened and I started to wonder if maybe the third portal to the spirit worlds caused imbalance and eventually became instable and became its own, deadly trinity test?
And until further notice, I will believe "people started to hate the Avatar" is not because of Korra herself but due to a similar reason the one fisherman didn't trust Aang at first - cuz the Avatar suddenly disappeared (trying to keep the cataclysm at bay but no one knew). There are so many things that could have caused the sentiment but not Korra actively doing anything to be that one to gain that reputation.
Y'know, I personally disagree on the argument that a post-apocalyptic setting makes no sense in the Avatar universe.
In fact; if that setting is anything like the post-calamity setting in BoTW, it would fit perfectly into the Avatar universe. It would cut away the technological advances and would avoid the worry of the world getting "too modern/close with reality" (a thought that always bothered me) and would get back to the kind of "day trip with x through an almost empty world" like they had in ATLA.
Also- I much rather have that (if it is anything like post-calamity Hyrule in BoTW) than a cyberpunk ATLA. 'cuz I really think that does not fit with the Avatar setting!
