You ever get invited to guest write for a show but then you made a character so OOC and uncharacteristically sexist that you're never invited to write an episode ever again despite every other guest writer doing so, and then later the first time that that character gets a comic centered on him it's with him and the woman you wrote him as sexist towards and the literal first real conversation they have is him explicitly apologizing for treating her with disrespect

People who want Lin to be the biggest victim are a little frustrating to me because they clearly think no amount of reconciliation and amends will be enough for Lin.

Suyin going "im sorry for all the trouble i caused you" does double duty. It's an outright apology, and it acknowledges that Suyin messed up. There's no pointing blame on Lin or pretending she's innocent.

Why do we need Suyin to list every bad thing she did as a teenager? Lin as a character was never one for long and winded conversations. She wanted an apology and acknowledgment of wrongs against her and that's what she got!

You guys expect suyin to grovel for a mistake she made as a teenager that she grew out of! Suyin makes it clear she tried to reach out before and that Lin made the choice not to bother responding. No Suyin isn't owed anything but you guys keep getting mad at Suyin when she's doing the things you wanted her to do.

People are projecting onto Lin and rather than being happy that she's getting closure they're complaining that it wasn't good enough.
